Massive fan base? What planet do you live on? Swansea have recieved plaudits from around the world, including a certain Mr Fabregas. Cardiff are still slumming it in the second division of English football. You bottle it year after year, while we took it at the first oppertunity. Envious isn't the word. I would like Cardiff to join us, but then there's Dick heads like Jh that make me think otherwise.
"World renown capital" ??? Have you ever been anywhere outside the UK where anybody other than British expats had heard of Cardiff or knew it was the capital of Wales? Is everybody in Cardiff this delusional or just you? Most people worldwide don't even know where (or even what) Wales is and they are not likely to unless we become an independent nation. Anybody that follows the Premier League knows about Swansea City Football Club though and there are 600+ million worldwide watching games regularly. That is the reality - get used to it!
For God's sake Johnny boy, why are you so bitter and twisted; for one so young it is a bit worrying. Calm down mate; what would your mates at Swansea Uni think if they realised how much you hated them? Football is just a game - I support Swansea but I am mature enough to realise that that doesn't mean I have to hate Cardiff! So why do you feel the need to hate everything about Swansea? For the record I would love Cardiff to get promoted and would welcome another Welsh team in the EPL - and this year I think you may just do it! I know you're just a young boy, and can excuse some of your hatred for the over exuberance of youth, but mate, to hate everyone from Swansea just because they are from Swansea shows an immaturity that is really quite sad. Hatred is a very destructive emotion and it will eat you up inside. I am lucky to have many good friends from Cardiff, and enjoy the banter about our respective teams, but I would never disrespect them and would defend them against any who would; I don't judge a person by the city they happen to be born in - I judge them by their actions and the way they conduct themselves! And so on to your comments on Swansea's exploits in the EPL; OK, so you dismiss our first season as a fluke, you are entitled to your opinion, however crass it may make you look. And yes; Cardiff are a capital city so of course you will have more support, but please don’t denigrate those of us who support the team from the city that we call home. We in Wales have to battle against enough prejudice from those across the border without having to contend with the petty insults from our fellow countrymen. I have no time for this pathetic squabbling between our two sets of fans, it is egregious, totally counter productive and plays into the hands of those in the English media who are hating the fact that there are two Welsh clubs competing at the top level! So think before you post John; it is very easy to post your vitriol from the anonymity of your computer’s keyboard. But just take a moment to pause, and think, that we may be on the same side. The English take great pleasure in writing us off, and hate the fact we are both doing so well, so please don’t give them the ammunition that they are looking for. I admire your loyalty to your team, but we are not the enemy; hopefully you will see that when you grow up a little. So keep on keeping on John – there is a lot to admire in your passion – just temper it with a little common sense and restraint!
