Dont understand this statement sgt, why only away from home?. Pennant hasnt been brilliant by any means and I said a bit ago to give Shotton a chance at right wing. Make Pennant realise that he has to EARN his place.

Quite right about Pennant although, WHEN he feels like it, he is dynamite. I just WISH he would be more consistant. Terry Conroy once told me that..
"If he EVER cut inside to beat his man, Waddington would bolok him for it. TOO often I see Pennant with his man beaten, try and beat him again?
My saying is, get to that byeline and ******* cross it he hardly ever does this. It gives Crouch/Walters/whoever time to get into the box simple innit!

~Which~ Is WHY fans like me n Nicky rave about T.C. IF Pennant was HALF as good(as Conroy) we would go places with Etherington on the other wing. <ok>
That said, I can't think of too many wingers playing today who ARE as good as T.C. was.

We all know we are more negative away from home, so it makes sense to have someone on the right wing who can track back and make important tackles as well as going forward. We are more positive at home, so we need our proper wingers playing from the start. I agree Pennant hasn't played well this season but the last couple of games he's played he's looked a lot better to be fair to him.

That's why he didn't play v Everton.. because

T.P. is STILL too negative. IF that game had gone the other way, Everton scored first??
Pennant was not even on the bench.. why T.P.?
I've always said, we've nothing to lose away from home so.. WHEN we go a goal behind Plan B?
Like I said.. He could not have brought Pennant on.
This shows yet again that there is way too much negativity for me(away) and it's only Pulis who can take the blame if Pennant get's peed off.

Reading another thread Sgt... seem's all is not well with Jermaine v Pulis? And I agree, the last couple of games.
Pennant has looked much more like he wants to do well but does Tony P.?

I agree mate but Pennant comes across to me like he HAS to have somebody putting presuure on him in his position, but I agree last few games Pennant has played much better.
