Honestly? I don’t think it is inevitable.

I saw just about enough at the start of the season to suggest that he might be good enough and at the same time, as I said, I think this whole club was going to take much longer to turn around than we have had so far. It’s still mid September and all squads take time to come together, especially considering the injuries we’ve had.

Last night was far from acceptable and Shota will know that. But I’m sick of this call to change managers every five minutes. Daniel Farke took a year to bed in at Norwich, I bet they were glad they didn’t get rid.

I don’t expect to be promoted this season, especially after seeing how organised Sheffield United were. We are still a way off. I’d rather give it time.

Aside from Dyche (who I suspect will be holding off for a higher placed club), who else is there available? Everyone I can think of is underwhelming.

We won the first couple of games in spite of Shota, not because of him, IMO. Even in those games, we looked terrible, just the opposition gifted us the goals. Plenty on here didn't see it at the time, and I was shot down for saying so. Those injured are beginning to come back now and we still look just as bad.

Just saw the second Stoke goal online. It’s worse than I originally thought when I saw it last night. Ingram just flapped at it. He’s a great, instinctive shot-stopper (like the save against Smallbone) but anything where he has a bit of time to think, like set-pieces or a daisy cutter, he ****s it.

Tried listening to his post match conference. He's so painfully clueless.
Shota out

Dyche is available... No brainer for me

I wouldn’t sack Shota now. Hang fire until late October/early November and assess where we are. We should give him time but I’m not convinced at all by Shota.
I never have been convinced by him. Appointing his friend stinks of cronyism bad mistake by Acun. His only one, way better options than this guy who only did well in Uzbekistan...

The start of the season we were lucky teams couldn't score past us. Besides Bristol City we haven't looked that decent. Brutal honesty

Seri simply doesn't strong enough. He'd get out muscled playing against a youth team.
Seri, is our best passer by a mile. His strength doesn't worry me when he sprays the ball anywhere with ease. It's when Coyle, Elder, Jones and Smith can't control or slip that causes the issues.

I think Swansea will be his last match, we’ll get a tonking 3 or 4. International break, Acun realises his mistake, convinces someone with a bit of managerial experience, knowledge & history about his dream & then new person has 2 weeks to train with players.
Alternatively, Acun takes over as head coach in all but name, sits on the bench, telling Shota where to point, instead of doing it from the stands.

He’s a luxury player for sure. He simply can’t play the role he’s playing in a team like ours playing the way we are. There is no real graft in our midfield.

Wonder if we could tempt David Meyler out of retirement. He’s exactly what we need. Along with a new manager.

A David Meyler type is exactly what we need.

I think swansea will be his last chance as well

loss and hes out not sure why he keeps playing the 5 in the back crap

I’ve finally seen the finished project from Shota, this is what he’s going for.
Obviously he’s at the, get a free kick in the opposition half, then play it all the way back to our penalty area, stage. But it looks good.

that goal is absolutely orgasmic
and of course it ends with a fabulous ball by the goat kroos

their off the ball movement is world class, always always an option for a pass

Said it in match thread, I'll say it again, get Bieksa on the phone, at least the bloke understands the game, lovely fella is Shota, but I'm afraid for me he is so far out of his depth it embarassing. Then when ya listen to his post match interviews he just underlines his incompetence by looking all sad and shrugging his shoulders with sighs, sooner gone sooner mended !

We haven't exactly been doing Dyche-like recruitment - would he want to take over a side full of technical ability but no real grit? That's the opposite to his style of play.

Also saw Bielsa mentioned, but he was criticised and ultimately sacked for running his players into the ground and losing them to long term injuries. Again would that suit the players we've brought in with our injury record?

I think Bielsa was sacked for a poor run of results like most managers, players actually found him a breath of fresh air despite having to work harder.

Leeds fans I spoke to was because he wanted to work with a small squad, so refused to buy - but then ran them into the ground so the key players were never fit, hence the poor results.

They respected him for getting them up, but none were too devastated when he finally got the chop for that reason.
