With all the comprises, fudges and "deals" I don't see that the leavers will end up with what they voted for!
ANYWAY...back to the iTFC manager problem....Iniesta as player manager please. But back to the real world...I dont think we should fixate too much on the manager in the sense that a club's overall performance is down to many more factors than just the manager. Pep could take over but we'll not get promoted next season. it takes more than that; a whole top to bottom culture of improvement that creates some momentum with a dash of luck all going our way. Getting the manager right is a god start though obviously, so.... Im not keen on Staam; his Reading tenure ended in ignominy and he splashed some cash on an already recent ex prem side. i don't want us to be his next 'have another crack at it' club. I don't want the big time charlie Gerrard, Lamps etc. i think we've dodged a bullet there with Rangers getting in on Stevie G. If he was in charge he'd wake up in the morning in his LFC jim jams, put his LFC moccies on then drive to work and have to stand on our touchline in some weird blue and white scarf. the point is; he's a total gamble and we're nothing more than a stepping stone to his greater managerial purpose back at LFC. no thanks. I think someone with experience of lower level football with a sense of desire and a plan to get to the top is more our cup of tea. If we get someone like that (and I cant pretend to really know who that might be without meeting these people in person and interviewing them!) perhaps if the rest of the club is designed to embed that plan into its fabric from the board to the tea ladies to us the fans we can begin to rebuild our club and generate an identity and sense of momentum that takes us somewhere in terms of a better playing style and with a purpose to move on up into the PL. The thing is, its not all going to suddenly click right with a new manaer unless the rest of the jigsaw is also put into place. I have a feeling ME just takes a very detached approach in this respect, we're just one part of his business portfolio...
And half of the things they voted for, like stopping freedom of movement, they are now going to get charged a £6 visa for every time they go to Europe!
At least the new manager will see that we have some spark left at the end of a nowhere season, terrific on the road support, loads of youthful faces, lots of injuries to key players & some talent to work with. Nick a win against the Borough and we step forward bravely and a little more confidently thru the Summer months to the starting line in August.
He says what he means and means what he says! A refreshing approach compared to the back stabbing, back sliding, cowards and political pygmies that unfortunately dominate our political discourse these days! Vince Cable is a case in point! The doddery old fecker should have been pensioned off years ago. He still refuses to accept the result of the last referendum and now accuses all those that voted Brexit as being white faced old racists! This guy is a complete tool.
Yes I really am. We were told that it would take 5 windows to get the team he wants, so far he's had 2 and sorted out defence and midfield next he'll sort the attack and we'll be ready to go
