Back on topic, as I've previously said in other threads I prefer fast counter attacking football, like united and madrid deadly units. All that passing lark for a neat finish from ten yards is boring for me.

I think Germany would be the best example of that. Beautiful stuff.

Agonizing to watch if you're playing against it.

    Aye, Germany are incredible.

Back to the thread, my opinion is that Barca would murder Stoke. Murder. All this "strongest league" business simply isn't true for me anymore. The fact that man united got taught a footballing lesson by one of la ligas middling teams shows why. Barcelona have the patience, skill and ability to shut Stoke out of the game completely, whereas premier league teams still give them a fair share of possession and chances. Look at how many chances Blackburn had against United tonight. If that was Barcelona they would have had a lot fewer.

No doubt stoke's size would be a problem from set pieces, but they have to win set pieces in dangerous areas in the first place.

It all depends in what is at your disposal.

On the topic of Barcelona, they are not as good as they are made out to be. The refereeing has been disgraceful and blatantly in their favor in the Champions League many times as well as in El Classico. Real Madrid are the best team in Spain at the moment.

What a load of rubbish. Stoke are tactically an excellent side and very hard to break down. They are strong and have very high stamina. We've seen this recently when Spurs had over 70% possession against them in a 1-1 (90th minute equalizer for Spurs) and drew 1-1 with City the week after. To say Stoke would get destroyed 9 times of 10 is nonsense, they wouldn't even beat Stoke 9 times out of 10. Stoke have mastered parking the bus in Europe and Premier league at times
