I think I would say words are needed with those players - they (apart from Ward, Norris, Rocha & Pearce) don't seem to really understand the significance of the braggers rights demanded by you or us. However, it was a draw, so 1) neither of us has had our Christmas ruined; 2) we still have the game in April with which to taunt each other; and, 3) my record of never witnessing a loss at FP is intact. Oh yes, and 4) my nephew owes me 20 quid for predicting a Pompey loss (he's not a footie fan).
You are clearly not aware of Pompey's season so far. That was par for the course where Pompey's attack is concerned. That's why we're near the bottom of the table despite having a defensive record that's superior to yours.
Yes, by a single goal, which means your defense is, at best, as good as ours, your not superior to us in defense which means Southampton's greater success in the league is because of some other factor. Stop trying to WUM. I clearly agreed with you that Pompey's offensive line was poor and Southampton's is better. Take things at face value every once in a while.
Saints defence certainly looked slightly worried when we brought Futaks on for Mullins. His height caused them problems, and he won everything in the air - shame he didn't come on earlier, to my mind.
