Could you imagine if Shola were up there pressuring the defender and goalie? Yes , you must've realised he would've been too slow to have done anything.



Shout out to the back 5 for having a great game defending. (Yes even Simmo, who's still ****e, but did ok under specific circumstances like yesterday, where we had to defend)

 

It was a terrible back-pass to put the 'keeper in that position, but all credit to Sissoko for picking up on it quickly enough to get a foot on the ball first. As you say, Shola would have still been cranking up the engine to get his 'run' started while the goalie calmly kicked the ball away.
