    Good hard fought derby.
Shola did what he does best scoring against the Mackems and he should have taken the pen.

Yeah I thought for all my life Shola would have stepped up for that one, proven penalty-taking calibre. Ba's done well with pens so far but he bottled that one, terrible penalty.

The sending off made the teams even again. The ref was clearly playing for the mackams.

    On a side note.

Glad this thread popped up, Shola has proved himself once again (as if he needed to)!!!! mackems shudda been down to 10 after 40 seconds, Wor Shola for the pen and that would have been a 2-1 win for the boys, Sess is a cheating, diving **** almost as bad as shattermole.

Agreed....the dude clearly has zero nerves, not even when he is frustrating the hell outta the fans, and he can even stroll around in a game as if nobody's watching him...

That said, Shola the true MACKEM SLAYER

Not sure about the tunnel, Cattermole got his red card as he was walking off the pitch. Just wandered over to shake hands with the ref, then looked to abuse him. Couldn't be sure cause it was only highlights but it looked as though he was calling him a cheat. The ref probably sent him off because he'll have thought "you're ****ing kidding you little prat, you should have went after 2 minutes but I took pity"

Spot on Santiago. We were well in control before the sending off, it probably did work against us because they defended even deeper. I love how their ever so slight domination first half has turned into a massacre. Lets run through all that trouble Krul was in. There was the pen, that Bendter shot and er, well, that's it really. We created far more 2nd half and the stats probably back this up. Over the course of 90 minutes I would think we had more possession and more attempts at goal.

Anyway, Shola, a mackem killing legend.

Big talk but we'll go off recent history rather than hearsay, as its a better guide to the likely result. Minimum 4 points again. Particularly once Sessengnon leaves in June.
