Might be easier to suggest who was happy. Bentaleb and Adebayor. Probably it really.

If you're going through he squad then Rose and Naughton were probably ok with him. Possibly Eriksen if he didn't mind playing out of position.

Veljkovic was handed his debut by him so I suppose he'll always respect him for that.

Really there should be 11+ regular starters that should be happy with the manager. The fact we're struggling on about 5 who are "probably happy" with Sherwood is utterly damning

I don't know anything (in case you haven't noticed...) but I'm disinclined to take the Sherwood story or the Pochettino story at face value unless/until there's more confirmation. Levy or an ally would be motivated to leak the Sherwood story to avert criticism for sacking Spurs' most successful manager. You would expect Pochettino to be talking to Spurs to get a bigger contract from Southampton. Either story might be either false in important ways or true but misleading.

Every pick of a new manager is a shot in the dark. Whether he will have a leg to stand on, or whether he will be cut off at the knees by ENIC/Levy/Baldini remains to be seen (though they do have a history of shooting first and asking questions later). I like Pochettino because he clears the hurdles of playing attractive football and being (reasonably) successful in the PL. And he is a pretty big name: ten letters.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around how people value managers in football. It's different than in sports I'm familiar with because of the importance of a big name for transfers. Really, it's more like college sports in the US, where a coach who can draw big stars to the school is much more valuable than one who can coach. It would make sense to me for Man U to name Giggs. Sure, he'll have a team and tactics deputy who will gradually transition responsibility to him. But the name will buy him fan support, and an extra year or so. Dawson's a thought for us, though I've already said, half-jokingly, Adebayor. Levy would love the twofer. Think of the savings! I actually think he knows the game very well, and his history of mutinying against dull football is surely an encouraging sign. Plus he'd probably get on well with Ade, though you never really know.

Of who? The manager, or the players? Or both, I suppose.

Sherwood punched a player? Oh no he didn't

Sherwood only agreed a contract with the promise of a 1 million payoff? No to that as well.

The players hated playing for Sherwood? Suggested by the same trusted sources that lied about the above.

Sherwood was right to say he was a supply teacher as he was setup to be used as cheap cover and given an impossible task to get the respect of players and every journo with a deadline to beat can write any old gossip about sherwood and its believed.

Apart from obvious inexperience, I think Sherwood's major problem has been an inability to distinguish when to speak, and when it's prudent to keep your mouth firmly closed.

Sherwood was mouthy as a player and naturally, mouthy as a manager. Surprised Levy didn't know what he was in for considering the bloke worked at the club for years. Must have had cloth stuck in his ears or the training pitch was too far away from his office to hear!

Sherwood has quite a calm way about speaking, its more what he says, rather then how he says it.

Sherwood aired a number of laundry loads in public. I don't think i've ever thought that was a good idea. Maureen has also started, which is good. He's always been about protecting the players from criticism and deflecting attention from them onto himself so they can get on with it. That way works, imo, and makes the players trust you.

The worst thing and imo there was plenty was when Sherwood banned himself from the touchline, that was truly pathetic.

Levy should be insisting that Ramsey is staying.
Surely it would be cheaper to buy a megaphone for Ramsey rather than employ Les
to shout his commands to the kids during Academy games.

According to the Mirror it was Sandro, Vertonghen, Paulinho, Capoue and Lloris who said it would be Sherwood going or they would.

As for the coaches, Parks and Ramsey deserve to stay, Ferdinand and Freund don't.
