As Muhammad Ali showed, you can get away with a big mouth if you can back it up with actions. Sherwood, unfortunately, is all mouth and no trousers!...

"sandro just not good enough to get in my team at the momen"

And Bentaleb wasn't even good enough to get into the U21 MF until at least
6 were sold / loaned out / brought into the seniors.

Is Timmy possessed by the spirit of "he who must not be blamed" ??

  4. Sherwoodie, in his post-match interview (against Fulham), reckons he's made a claim to be our manager next season, even if he doesn't win the next three games.

"reckons he's made a claim to be our manager next season"

He has indeed. The claim is insanity (WTF is Spurcat :D) .

    He really said that?

    He's so deluded.

The triumph kept alive Spurs' hopes of European football next season, but was unlikely to dampen any rumours regarding Sherwood's position as manager.

When asked about his future, he said: "It's been five and a half months since I've been in the job and it's never gone away. I'm always fending off the same questions.

"It's not ideal, but it's an environment that's been created and it's a great honour to manage this football club. I just have to be professional and try and prepare them to win football matches as best as I possibly can."

Back someone into a corner and they'll defend it.

If Sherwood meets his targets, he's staying. He's doing OK in Levy's eyes and he fits in well at Spurs. Would he have accepted the target of Champions League without a transfer window? No chance. The target is fifth with a Europa League place and there's every chance that'll happen.

I understand people's fears. The fear of an unknown is difficult to deal with. Accept that Sherwood will be given a full season and go back to celebrating Eriksen's and Lennon's sweet crosses. You'll feel better for it.

Yes, no doubt Sherwood is here until the end of the season, unless something dramatic happens.

I'd certainly rather think about Eriksen's dead ball capabilities than have nightmares about our defensive ones!....

  11. Mate, I can heartily assure you that my fear is of the known, not the unknown.

I know that Sherwoodie is ****e, and my fear is that he'll be here next season in spite of that fact.

I really don't think he will be here, though. Levy has already taken more flak over his managerial screw-ups, this season, than at any other time during his tenancy of the chairmanship. No way will Levy risk an out-and-out rebellion from fans.

Sherwood is a dead man walking.

Sherwood is like di canio (as a manager not a person)...he says whatever ****e comes into his head without thinking about the consequences, can't control himself during a match, doesn't know how to manage players, has no tactical nous and is arrogant as ****.

He says things for expedience never from conviction. Remember his "its better for the team for me to watch from the stands" comment? He was criticised for it so now he is back on the bench!
A bit like avb claiming his squatting gave him a good view and then stopping cos everyone was taking the piss.

    Attention seeking twattishness imo.

The media love him got he gives great headlines

So I keep hearing, but today he's here and he's winning.

Don't fear Sherwood being here next season. He won't be expected to do great things as Levy's long term plan doesn't involve winning anything until the new stadium is built. Don't fear Sherwood being here for three more years after next season too.

Shearer likes Sherwood. Ginola likes Sherwood. Some fans think he's doing OK for a ****e manager and just think how good he'll be when he has three years experience at Spurs under his belt.

    We're all dead men waking.

There have been empty seats at the lane this season for league matches which is the first time in years.
That will have an impact as will player fall outs that will inevitably occur if he stays.
He is inept at tactics, motivation , playing against good teams (lost to arsenal twice, city, chelsea, liverpool, benfica, and drew with benfica....scoring 1 v city, 1 v benfica and 2 v benfica...conceding 21)
We beat everton by luck ... deserved to lose v norwich, got a last minute draw v west brom, were held to a draw by west brom, deserved to lose to west ham in the co cup, lost to dnipro etc, etc, thats 13 of his matches that I remember off the top of my head...
If he stays next season will be a car crash

Anyone seen that Sherwood has tried to claim that he saw Eriksen at Wembley when he was 17 and he told Levy the next day to sign him.

Eriksen has never played at Wembley.

    A classic Sherwood <laugh>

No, it's in a The Fail. He makes himself sound like Levy's right hand man. His advisor.

"I watched him at 17 years of age at Wembley for Denmark and I rang (chairman) Daniel Levy the day after and said that he need to sign this boy" - Tim Sherwood

"I've never played at Wembley. And of course it would be special to play there." - Eriksen, after missing the England v Denmark game last month due to injury

That's really dumb. Maybe he's just mistaken about the venue? Eriksen's been watched by a lot of sides for a very long time.

  20. Unfortunately, nothing Sherwoodie says or does will ever surprise me, which is why he has to go.

Perhaps he has a virulent form of aspergers, that makes him come out with all this crap? It would certainly explain a lot.
