Sherwood is having the Di Matteo effect. After the same tight-ass cryptic out-of-touch perfectionist gets sacked, a laid-back homey a one-of-their-own comes to the fold and releases the anxieties and frustrations out of the squad's system, allowing the players space and confidence to "do their thing". It's a dangerous effect of which we should be wary, as it often comes with large dollops of luck. As with Di Matteo, let's hope that the luck is applied to them in their international flights only and lets wish them good luck against Dnipro and beyond.
