I'm not particularly keen on Sherwood but this is harsh. What did they expect from him having sold their best three players?
McClaren might not be too far behind him as they are 1 down at HT to Sunderland...... Sorry I digress......Villa only survived last season due to Benteke's scoring exploits, still think they'll be relegated no matter who manages them.....
Tim Sherwood thinks Tim Sherwood was doing a fine job and that Tim Sherwood will go on to have an excellent managerial career. Tim Sherwood Tim Sherwood.
Once again, Villa will be rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. The owners and board are the problem, that's how many managers have failed there now since they finished in the Top Six? O'Neill jumped ship when he was f*cked about and it's been downhill all the way since then...
If I have given the impression that I have any time for Tim Sherwood I sincerely apologise. Don't dislike him on the scale of Redknapp but don't rate him as anything more than a short term feel good manager, no depth to him at all. Didn't really want him sacked from Villa, the fun of watching his tragic, confused face was too good. Really don't want him anywhere near us. The ideal for me would be for Ramsey to do a bit better. No idea if that is likely though.
That's a relief, I was doubting my sanity, obviously I was being dense. Wrong thread but I've just seen an excellent piece on Gus Pichot in the build up to the Oz v Argie game. What a fabulous bloke, his love for his sport and his country shone through. You'd love him Col, I think. He said his meeting with the administrators of the Six nations when he was trying to get Argentina in lasted 5 seconds. They've been playing the Southern Hemisphere teams regularly since 2011, beat Australia last year and are in their second RWC semi final - 2 more than Ireland.
