Embarrassment to the club??...er, unless I've missed something that has already been brought upon ourselves.
If the players can't find a way to work and respect the club for 12 games, even if Sherwood has lost the dressing room then they don't deserve to be left out of any blame, unless we're not aware of Sherwood causing real problems aside from upsetting players with his outburst. Just if you was a manager, one with ambitions, would you want to join a club that sacks two managers in a season but expects you to finish top four with a budget that doesn't match, and the added worry of losing your job because the chairman is likely to panic? There's no Redknapp to come in and improve the mood and sort us out, it's back to the lottery of foreign coaches.
Baldini to step in and when he loses four games on the spin, he will be sacked! Just hand the job to everyone who Levy wants an excuse to fire!
I don't think it will be Baldini. I think he will soon "sleep with the fishes" over £100mil has been spent with no results. Baldini will carry the can for that.
David Pleat recommended Baldini. I was never convinced by him and. And even more so when I found out Pleat spoke highly of him.
Pleat was probably trying to recommend someone completely different, but mispronounced his name, to be fair.
These last couple of seasons were a golden opportunity for Spurs. Your team does have the sh**test luck ever man. You had a great player in Bale getting you results and finished in the top 4, missing out on CL because of something rare and ridiculous (Stupid UEFA rule). Then you sell that player for an absolute mint, but end up spunking the money up the wall on a pile of ****. AVB is really not a PL manager and was an awful appointment. As f**ked as Abramovich is when it comes to sacking managers, I feel AVBs time at Spurs vindicated Roman somewhat. Everyone else got to see how inept, disruptive and downright f**king clueless he is, and that it wasnt just big ol' bullies like JT and Drogba who picked on him until the chairman was forced to sack him Tim Sherwood is a decent bloke, but if you have any league aspirations you need Levy ousted, Sherwood demoted back to assistant and a sensible, decent, steady manager bought in. Im not Wumming but my god I have never seen a Spurs side so much like a deflated floppy c*ck in front of goal...no potency whatsoever, no sharpness, no drive. Even during your, shall we say, less successful periods, you were still a decent side to watch, even when you were getting hammered. Now......its almost painful
Sherwood: "No problem with the desire and effort there tonight. I've got no complaint about that" Yes, desire and effort are a minimum requirement, as far i'm concerned. All that's missing now is a game plan, some cohesive tactics, oh! And a manager who has the first ****ing clue what he's doing. Sherwood: " it's just that we have to hold out hands up and say that they're a class above" So, despite spending over £100mil, a team that was put together for relative peanuts is a class ( at least!) above. They can walk into our own backyard and make us look complete mugs. Anybody else spotting that there seems to have been a calamitous **** up somewhere along the line here?
Sherwood has run out of things to say, I feel. He hasn't got a clue and shouldn't be anywhere near the first team. Having now witnessed what he's like as a person, I don't want him involved at the club at all. Even with 12 games left, I'm petrified at how much more damage he can cause. Will we see levy "relieve him of his duties"?!
I must admit I'm starting to feel daft for changing my view on Sherwood as I when I heard he was in contention I openly called him a scumbag with no credentials to be our manager and would get found out. I still stand by the fact he has done a fine job for someone of his ability and I've enjoyed aspects of his management but it's starting to look like there could be real problems but I still don't want Sherwood sacked this season , reassess in the summer and hopefully Levy will stand aside from hiring the next manager.
I don't think anyone would accuse you of wumming for writing what is the complete truth. In general we're a sensible bunch here, we're not deluded enough to think this team is good or performing well.
A pretty honest assessment of what's happened. Unforunately, as much as a lot of us would like it, I doubt Levy will go anywhere. However, unless he is excluded from the managerial selection process, nothing will change I fear. Both Baldini and Sherwood need to go and be replaced by an experienced, respected manager, who should be given complete control over all selection and buying/ selling of players.
