The shine emanating from him is off his bald head. Not that he's made of gold (he does run like he is though!) If we get that much I'll race ACS to Fenwicks!
This is just simply not happening. He’s signed a long contract. He’s said he is happy in the NE. It’s just not happening!
A waster that is endemic of what we've become under Mike Ashley. One day, maybe soon, maybe later, maybe never, he'll look at his career and realise it could have been so much more than it was. He could have played England at least a dozen more times, he could have been the heir to someone like Michael Carrick at a top club. Instead he didn't want it. I won't rewrite history. When he signed I was delighted. I was there for his debut, and thought we'd got a genuine heir to Cabaye but he wasn't fit to lace his boots.
I recall the warnings from the Swansea fans and then seeing him against West Brom and West Ham when he was picking out passes like prime Gerrard. He's been like a dead weight in the middle of the pitch for the past few years though, no lack of talent but just very lazy
Not opposed to it, but it's the short blanket Rafa used to speak of. Great for us to sign more attacking talent, especially ones that can do something special in 1v1 situations, but that's all our budget on one player. If he drops the first week we're ****ed.
Yep. I won't lie, my heart fluttered under Rafa in 2017/2018 as he seemed to get a real tune out of him and he was probably an outside shout for England. The problem is he didn't even really dominate in the Championship and that was when we had all the ball and a much better team. I won't miss him when he goes.
We started with 12 million. We have sold lejeune for 5m. Sell muto for £3m. That’s 10m for signings and 10m for loans.
Loan willock and Gallagher aswell. I reckon we started with 10m + 5m for lejeune and say 3m for muto.
I've got a bad feeling another club will just throw 20 million at Arsenal for willock. This summer is looking like a standard Ashley window unlike the last 2 seasons where he spent the next decades money.
