I thought the same after watching the replay. I didn't see it in real time, but after watching the replay, Arma definitely changed the flight of the ball - enough I think to make it go out of the keeper's reach. Interestingly, immediately after it happened, watch Arma celebrate as he was claiming it from the first second
There is no debate. Flight of ball only matters for own goals. Any touch, even a brush of a shirt, alters who gets the goal. I have lost (and gained) one or two that way myself!
As a change from the ‘Martin out’ chat we’ve been doing over and over the last few weeks I thought I’d look back at Martins first game As I’m sure you all knew I am a genius and my perspective was spot on immediately Others @Osvaldorama not so much
Ah, the sheer excitement of starting this season was just amazing wasn't it. Genuinely the most excited I've been about a season starting since the days of Koeman. Championship, best league in the world. Proper football. Proper fans. Proper league.
Would hope for more than that tbh but yes we should be well off and have a good enough squad to challenge anyway Pocket the money we get, get promoted, spunk another £150m on players and get relegated again. Rinse and repeat
From a Saints fan point of view, that certainly helps of course! Even speaking as a neutral, I still think the championship is one of the best leagues in the world. Indeed, I follow it far more closely than I do the PL.
