After an additional week on from this match / me creating this thread and the Squad that was faced QPR I'm gonna go for... Hamer Wilson - Morrison - Dervite - Wiggins Cousins - Poyet Green - Ajdarevic - Jackson Reza Bench Thuram - Fox - Wood - Hughes - Harriott - Church - Sordell
Yeah its my one concern looking at that Squad although I'd play Ajdarevic just ahead of Green and Jackson as well (in a Diamond sort of Midfield 4-5-1) so that Reza isnt left stranded To be honest I see the same team that started against Queens Park Rangers just with Ajdarevic coming in for Green lol!
HRH - Maiga went round Thuram, then took another touch and it went out for a goal kick, a huge let off.
Was the touch of a sex offender, was so so bad defo a let off... Hamer to start tonight and rest of the season for me
Would like to see some sensible rotation, Cousins looked dead on his feet towards the end on Saturday and Jackson simply hasnt got 2 games in 3 days in him but would be a cert to come off the bench if we need a goal going into the final 20 mins. I would go for..... Hamer Nego Morrison Wood Fox Wilson Poyet Adjarevic Harriott Reza Sordell
I forgot about Nego, TA. I will have to agree and say I think he and Wilson will be our right side partnership.
@CAFCofficial: Charlton starting XI: Hamer; Wilson, Fox, Morrison, Wood; Harriott, Poyet, Cousins, Jackson, Ajdarević; Church #CAFCLive I actually really like this line up! Looking forward to seeing astrid play in the hole.
Evening all Charlton: Hamer; Wilson, Fox, Morrison, Wood; Harriott, Poyet, Cousins, Jackson, Ajdarević; Church Subs: Thuram-Ulien, Dervite, Hughes, Nego, Green, Sordell, Ghoochannejhad What's Up Doc and Thurrock Addick get their wishes as Fox makes his debut. Church on his own up front is... interesting. Good to see Hamer back and Harriot starting as well.
Sheffield Wednesday: Martinez; Palmer, Mattock, Maghoma, Coke, Loovens (c), Llera, Maguire, Afobe, Best, Gardner Subs: Kirkland, Helan, Nuhia, Hutchinson, Buxton, Onyewu, Lavery
Captain, sure Church is up top on his own or is Ajdarevic with him too? He moved to striker when Harriott came on at the weekend. I do like the look of the side though. Bit worried though if we need an impact sub as I wasn't too impresse by Reza, but hey, he can prove me wrong if he likes. Bit more postive though as not a weakened side really COYR
Weak side, but what options does CP have? Good points: Hamer back. Not his biggest fan, but if fit got to be better than T-U who nearly lost us the game on Saturday single-handed. In fact if Hamer is unfit or has lost form, call Pope back. Fox given a go. Change of heart, or desperation by CP, regarding playing our youngsters? Hariott back in the team, perhaps yielding to Ghoochannejhad after an hour. Hughes considered fit enough for a possible cameo. Bad points: Sorry to see both Jackson and Ajdarevic starting. Both very slow in midfield. One or the other, please. I quite like Church, reminds me of Garry Nelson and John Robinson (though obviously not as effective as either) but he is not suited to play up front alone. Sorry to see poor old Wilson still being played out of his best position. We are asking a lot of him this season. My Player of the Year, although that shows how few options there are. Obviously Nego is not impressing in training. If he is not picked for this one, with Solly still unavailable, he never will be. Sorry to see Green still in the squad and even more sorry to see Sordell allowed into the Valley. ............................................................ Wednesday are not great, but look too robust and quick for this physically frail and slow side.
