Charlton will look to get back to winning ways this weekend when they travel to Hillsborough to take on Dave Jones Sheffield Wednesday. Whilst Charltons unbeaten run ended at 7 last weekend as they went down 2-0 to Bolton (David N'gog brace) Sheffield Wednesday recorded their first win in 8 beating Barnsley 1-0 courtesy of a Chris O'grady goal although it really should not of counted and Gary Madine even came out at the end of the game and said he fouled the keeper in the build up.

In my eyes this along with Sheffield United at home are the two games that secured us the title last season and Llooking at Sheffield Wednesday's recent form I dont see why we can't win this game again. Just like last year though I expect it to be a battle and with them constantly bombarding us with long balls, long throws etc. We will once again be lining up against two old boys and whilst I still love Semedo I couldn't care less about Miguel Llera. I'm gonna go for a 1-0 and a Jacko free kick.

Cheers Belv. Same team as you except Wilson on the right, no Kerkar and Haynes up front with Hulse. Had lunch on Tuesday with a business colleague who is a Massive ST holder. He says they are truly awful this season and that we will beat them. The turning point last week was Bothroyd being injured. He has been utter cack but apparently has a clause in his contract that he must play if fit. He is still out so that's a shame. I'm afraid that I think we will end up with a perfectly symmetrical away record (w4,d4,l4) after this one. Dunno why, just got a bad feeling. Felt the same last week. Hopefully I'm wrong and we get at least a point. I also have a thought in my head that BWP will play and do something significant but I maybe had one Guinness too many last night. COYR.

Cheers Belvedere! You've got a busy ten days...

Yes dick, no Stephens and I don't think it'd be a game where his style of play would be much influence on the result.

On the prediction thread, I've gone for a 1-0 loss, but like your friend jimbob, the Owls at work are deeply pessimistic about this one. Significantly, they're not blaming Jones for this, they're putting it squarely on the players.

I'd be happier about getting a result if we went small and quick up front, rather than playing Hulse, who surely is going to be blotted out by Big Mig.

Leaving for my folks in Kent in about ten minutes - not looking forward to this drive today, the weather here is beyond awful.

COYR!

Drive carefully Tewks. The weather in Kent is ghastly too! Forgot about Stephens being out. Makes me even more pessimistic.

Wonder if Cort will return to face the aerial bombardment? Expect Pritchard to return in place of Stephens, otherwise Dervite in a defensive midfield role. Maybe shuffle Jackson to the left in order to play Kermorgant instead of Kerkar? Kermit's physique may come in handy for this one. Hoping for a 1-1 draw.[/QUOTE]

4-2-3-1 with kermo playing in behind Bwp and Wilson and green on the wings. I was tempted to drop morro because of bad form but I think dervite should be pushed up into defensive midfield alongside frimpong.
