Wigan appeal after the season is finished so if they get the 12 points back it would be in league one ?, no because they would have an advantage over all of us.
Under no circumstances would a club start a season on plus 12, **** sake man. That would be punishing 23 teams for **** all.
The rules are black and white for administration, it’s more the other clubs having there’s delayed etc that makes a joke of it all.
Said it on previous threads the incompetence of the FA and EFL administration is disgusting , the lack of consistency is a disgrace and Charlton should push this as far as they can afford to . We are on the verge of the new season starting and how much better placed are the clubs that voted to halt the league last year , the EFL allowed this to happen - what’s changed .
Unlucky Wigan. I'm guessing that Sheff Wed are going to be amongst the favourites to go down next season, not sure if they still have a transfer embargo or not either.
I don’t think they do, although Birmingham has one for a similar issue so maybe they get one. I like Sheff Wed proper club, but cheating is cheating.
Same as with Sheff Wed, provided one of the funniest arrests I've seen at a match. Back when the away fans were in the South Stand a rather large Sheff Wed fan was being kindly escorted from the ground by the plod when the entire South West corner started chanting 'You fat bastard, you fat bastard.' Sheff Wed lad lifted his top, give his belly a jiggle and was promptly cheered by everyone instead. Leadbitter scored that day an all.
Massive sympathy for Wigan and their fans but no real sympathy from me for Charlton. They finished bottom 3 and have to expect to be relegated, it'd be nice for them if due to financial issues at another club they are given a get out of jail free card but they can't feel they deserve it really, they're just hoping to profit from anothers demise. It is a mess.
Aye, I understand that train of thought. If we are talking ‘sporting merit’ they were actually second bottom, well and truly down.
"Sheffield Wednesday's 12-point deduction for breaking spending rules has been reduced to six points." Poor old Wycombe
