What a lovely sunny morning. Firstly. That run by Roberts for the goal. Words fail me! Just wonderful. Secondly. This manager isn’t going let us turn up and watch as we get bullied by nasty little Wycombe. He is going to get us out of this awful place by out thinking and out battling and out footballing them. At last. This is the year.
Listened to last nights game on the Radio. From the background noise, it sounded like the Wedensday crowd were most unhappy about our time wasting, particularly from our keeper. I was tempted to feel sorry for those Wednesday Fans who had been to both legs. It must have been galling for them to see that we had copied their tactics to such good effect!!!!
That was probably the fairest Ref we’ve had all season. Hope we get a similar good one for Wembley. *just been reading earlier posts and I see Samwise and Cumbrian have already mentioned this.
Said earlier on the thread - didn't really notice either ref in the 2 games. That is a good sign. Agreed re Wembley
Gutted for you mate. You haven't ruined anything you have shared with a group of people you know will have plenty thag understand! What a load of bullshit that is. They have a good team for this level and so do we, last night we pretty much cancelled each other out and last week we shaded it. Hence the score and us going through. Some fans are whoppers! *just read some other comments on their and they pretty fair from their fans. On lad even tells him at least 4 of ours (Stewart, Pritchard, Wright and Batth) would get into their team no problem from what he saw over two legs. But he also mentions one thing we have had I'm abundance since AN arrive playing as a team not a group of individual talents! AN mentioned it last night how the players accept being dropped no matter how they played if it means the team sets up a different way to win!
I don't think he will battle them I think he will drill the lads to not let them cheating bastards get anywhere near them as they pass them off the pitch.
Genuinely believe we have the best manager in the division. Probably best for 6/7 seasons. Totally clued up.
That run by Roberts was amazing. He was miles away as Clarke got the ball. Incredible fitness and desire to do that in the the 92nd minute.
Looking at some the passing and movement, last night, I think we have the chance to really turn on the style. I don't go along with the idea that Neil is attritional, just likes to keep us basically organised. It would be great to show Wycombe up.
Wycombe average 5,000 at home We average 30,000 at home You could argue the split should be 75/25 otherwise there are going to be a lot of empty seats at Wembley
Aw fukit all, what a terrible thing to happen. My thoughts are with you Nig, here for you anytime if you want to vent or just meet up to be with a dog lover who understands your heartbreak.
Morning all. Hope the heads arent too bad! Must admit I couldnt sleep until around 2am, which is not like me at all. Great 2 legged performance I thought. Very well deserved victory. First leg was excellent and the gaffer set us up perfectly I thought. Was expecting a back 5 last night with Roberts missing out, so shows what I know. I do think after their goal we were vulnerable through the middle and I was desperate for Matete to come on for ONien, who looked shattered. Neil said he never felt like changing so fair play, or maybe a little white lie, who knows. I was delighted with Clarke last night, a real performance. He took advantage of some hopeless Wednesday defending clinically and Roberts timed his run perfectly. They looked completely deflated after that, shattered, and even though we had another 8 or 9 minutes they were never threatening again. Long build up to Wycombe now. What can we talk about? For me it will be a very tough game and they have a lot going for them. We do have the manager though to have the right plans and reactions, and we have players that can play. Hoping this is our time.
On sky. no way would the EFL put some of the ****e refs in charge where the world can see. I'm sure we played Rochdale on Sky and it was a prem ref.
