Wow what a great result for Shrewsbury away at Sheffield. Four different scorers and much needed goals for Collins, Vernon and Black, let alone a great additional goal for Kaikai. Town finished with several walking wounded, so hopefully they will be minor and those players will be fit for a game again shortly. Did anybody make it to the match? The fans sounded great on the radio and could be clearly heard regularly throughout the match.
Sadly could not go due to work commitments but was very pleased to see some cracking goals going in and a much more attacking display with the forgotten man Vernon linking play up well. Onwards and upwards and lets look forward to a similar display against Gillingham. Interesting to read some Sheffield fans comments on their forum. Very few compliments to our team buts lots of stuff on the lines of how could we lose to Shrewsbury with one describing us as minnow relegation fodder. That sort of arrogant attitude among fans is part of the reason they are struggling at the moment.
Highlights of the game. Black intercepting the ball, running up to the middle of the pitch that leads to Collins' goal is great to watch. Glad we've signed him up on a decent contract.
