I think you’re right with the turning the game into a war Gozo. Hanley kicking Sharp while he was on the ground was completely unnecessary and not even an attempt to get the ball. This riled their talismanic captain and got the crowd and players really up for the rest of the second half to our detriment. They had been better in the second half but we had several strong counters up to that point, but that effectively stopped after the incident. Having had such a strong squad at the start of the season we are now desperately short in midfield and Left back and that was obvious when Smith had to bring in Springett to play left back and Sinani to play CM. We were then handed the opportunity to take the points out first half performance deserved and Pukki fluffed his lines!

Not even great passes were needed, just good ones.
