His passing from CB is class, his decision making has really come on in possession - He knows when to play short and when to switch play or go longer. He wasn't great in possession on Friday, I actually felt his 1st touch wasn't great on Friday and the ball was being caught under his feet which impacted his passing. His 1st touch is one of his strongest attributes so zero worries about this going forward
My own opinion is it is excellent vision and technique. But it is not a pass to create a clear cut opportunity. The chances of Ake making the defensive cover were quite good. A long pass always gives the defender time to set himself. Ake did that then did well. Fair play to Arnold for the ability to take it on, but he was under no pressure, was hitting into a reasonably large landing area and imo it was relatively speculative. I sound like a miserable git. I enjoyed it in real time and I gave it a clap from my arm chair. I am not sure in hindsight I will remember it for a long time.
The TAA pass was almost better than it needed to be. Nearly caught Salah out as he was running a different angle . Incredible fade on it.
