It will be almost 98 years to the day and I still haven't forgiven those pesky Blades. Ok, two years later Fred and his men returned to Wembley to turn over Arsenal.
Yep, I'm talking about our first of three FA Cup finals and the club we face on Saturday were our opponents. It's understood that on this coming Saturday, both clubs will make significant changes from the 1925 clash.

You may have noticed that on the Prediction League thread for this game, there's been a heartfelt plea made by our good friend Cuban Robbie for us to turnover the Blades. I'm sure we'll do our best to accommodate his wishes.

Hugely tough game for us in our transitional state against a side that made an impressive charge up the table to be in 6th place. The form books would suggest we have no chance so we'll probably win!

I've never forgiven them for the 5-1 mullering they gave us on the 27th April 1971, thereby ending the dreams one 14 year old.....................................................

The way Morison sets it up today - away to a top 6 club - will be very interesting.

Back 4 or 5?

Can he start Doyle and Colwill together?

If Ralls is fit, will he replace Vaulks in the middle?

With Doughty now sent back to Stoke, who will play wide left?

With Isaak Davies out, will Harris be given another shot up front?

Watters back in the squad for the game - will he get a chance?

So many questions.<confused>

Whatever he goes for, one thing for certain, BBC will get the formation wrong.<doh>

Some interesting words coming from Morison in the last few days.
Hoping he's getting things clear in his mind ready for next season.

With 3 losses in past 4 games and the team safe I just hope the season doesn’t end limply.

It depends on the way Morison approaches these last 4 games - just experiment or seriously try to win.

He must know who's going to be here next season and those that won't be, so that should be decisive in his selections - pointless playing players who don't figure in his next season plans.

His problem might be, on that basis he won't have enough to choose from.....<laugh>

I wonder if Ralls will be picked if fit. Morison said that apart from the 2 long term absentees he had a full squad for Luton. No place at all for Ralls in a game where he would have been useful.

Smithies wanted away so he was let go early. Is Ralls going the same way? We will see in a few minutes.

Funny, we're only playing with 10 men.

Cardiff City XI
: Phillips; Drameh, Nelson, Denham, Bagan; Wintle, Ralls, Doyle; Watters, Hugill.

Subs: Luthra, McGuinness, Flint, Vaulks, Colwill, Ikpeazu, Harris.

My theory blown then. According to that we are starting with 10 players. <doh>

Guess they have missed off Ng in a back 5.

Not much pace there apart from Drameh. Watters starting. Must be looking to take them apart from the bench.
