Craven Cottage is a great ground to visit. The Cottage Pie pies are great too. The walk across the park by the Thames to get there is great and then if it’s an evening game, there’s a great curry house on the same road about a mile down the road.
I love the ground. I recall being in the home in with a Solicitor friend of mine, when Neimi i think headered against the bar in injury time, and Killer stabbed the ball in. I jumped up and roared at the top of my voice, and then quickly sat down looking confused
I went there for the League Cup match at the start of last season. Really enjoyed it apart from the bloody stewards who insisted we sat down every 10 minutes. That did not go down well.
Not going to drag this out, but just throw a comment on the RB/CB thing as a possible explanation. He trusts Bednarek (ok it didn’t work at RB) and he may have thought that Vesty and Salisu are still a good CB pairing ( they are) and he wasn’t happy with Jack playing, so he may have thought that overall that would have been a lesser weakness. I get that fully. I also wouldn’t get carried away at the thought of Moussa being a fill in at FB. He was a “warrior” the other night, but he wasn’t really good as a FB the times he has sat in there. I think some got a bit wrapped up in the moment. The thing for me is it is of course ok to question decisions; I do, but I also always look at a flip side and ask what the other option is or other view is. I’ve no problem with the questions, it’s those (not you) who flip their heads off saying he’s crap and want him gone I agree on Stuey for sure.
I took a US colleague to see them lose 3-2 to Forest midweek about 5 years ago. He loved it. We sat in the main stand. I played there once too
yeah, i do see the RB back thing, it was just an observation that after a game, maybe even 1st half, Bednarek wasnt going to work, but I do get why he did it. And it is far, far easier for me in my armchair to make these observations and suggestions, I just think he maybe got that a little wrong. I did also say a week or so ago, that he effectively has credit in the bank, and deserves time to rectify it. Now, whilst i think we will naturally struggle against City, it is a one off game, their run will come to an end at some point, but like you said - totally free hit for us - the one to win is Brighton.
the one to win for me is Bournemouth.. I’ll think about league games again after that. Got a feeling that if we keep enough players fit and strong for the cup, we could be in for a treat.
I actually lost it a little bit with an idiot on one of the Facebook pages last night. This comment set me off - "we must have another RB in the reserves as well as Ramsey. Ralph has been lost since his no2 went back to Germany to Bayern."
How many people a year or so back actually thought that Forster would be our number one choice GK at any point?
I'm delighted that he has managed to turn it around, the only slight concerns I have are that I wish he would dominate his penalty area more from crosses and I wonder if he will maintain his confidence and form in front of a full SMS.
No comment on the game though the highlights looked very one sided indeed. I'd be interested in our win stats when KWP is playing versus when he's missing. My gut feel is that we're a great deal better when he's on the pitch. He's an excellent defender and fulfils a similar role to Armstrong when he has the opportunity to go forward. Vin
I was thinking the same thing earlier. His pace when he has to run back to defend is remarkable. Puts a good cross in too.

Would obviously prefer we could remain injury free, but if we have to lose someone for a few weeks, I’d sooner it be our first choice striker than our only RB.
