Forza We don't pretend to be a 'big club' so we dont get hang ups about numbers of supporters! We are just little old Ipswich who want to go about our business under the radar and away from the spotlight. We are a small provincial club that has massively overachieved in the past and with Mick McCarthy in charge just may well do so again.
I agree - if we're only taking 500 tonight that isn't a very good effort. It's going to take a while to get people coming back to the club, getting back to regularly going on the road. A lot have got out of this habit really. Sure it's midweek bla bla bla..... but surely we can take more and have a few Ipswich fans in this neck of the woods that wouldn't have thought twice about this game 10 years ago or so.
It's all down to how much people think they'll be entertained and when you weigh up the cost involved most will decide to spend their money elsewhere. You only have to look at the game Saturday.Had we really gone for it and put Rotherham to the sword (which were more than capable of)how many would that have added on the attendance of the next home game.Instead Mick shut up shop after two goals and sent us to sleep for the rest of the afternoon. The sub 20,000 crowds are largely a function of the lack of entertainment.People go on about ME lowering prices to get back the crowds, but it ain't going to happen with the present fare on offer.(Sorry - bad day at work so I needed to vent!)
Just one complaint... Gerks needs to stop hoofing into touch. I lost count how many times! That said 13 points out of 15! Mick needs to go now! And Norwich losing hahahahaha! The Bin men are coming
