Neil Warnock should have been given the freedom of Rotherham.
    A amazing job last year.

    From the BBC ................

Sheffield Wednesday midfielder David Jones is available again after serving a one-match suspension.
Barry Bannan is expected to feature despite being substituted with a groin injury in the Owls' 2-1 win over Wigan.
Bristol City's Hordur Magnusson and Callum O'Dowda are likely to be in the squad despite picking up knocks in the 2-2 draw with Rotherham.
Midfielder Korey Smith could also feature for the first time this season after recovering from an ankle injury.
    Analysis
    BBC Radio Bristol's Ed Hadwin:
"If you'd offered Bristol City fans (and Lee Johnson) ninth place in the table after their opening six games, I'm pretty sure they'd have gladly taken it.
"The squad has evolved considerably since the head coach's arrival at the start of the year, and the last half hour at Rotherham gave a glimpse of what they might be capable of, especially if they can cut out the mistakes.
"You can see from his quotes that Johnson is a big fan of their hosts, and with two footballing teams going head-to-head, this one could be a a cracker."
Sheffield Wednesday head coach Carlos Carvalhal told BBC Radio Sheffield:
"Bristol City are an organised team, they are very compact, they know exactly what they need to do in all the moments of the game.
"We must play at our best level to win the three points, it will be a very, very tough game.
"I think we have showed we will be ready, and we will find a way to break the strong points of the opponent.
Bristol City head coach Lee Johnson told BBC Radio Bristol:
"I love them (Sheffield Wednesday) as a team. I think they've got everything. It's quite similar, to where we want to be.
"It's a good game for us. It's another really good marker, to see where we are.
"It's a great place, a great venue to play football, with real tradition. We've got to go there and show that we're a really tough team to play."
    Match facts
    • The Owls have won just one of their last 11 league meetings with Bristol City (D4 L6).
    • The Robins have won four of their last six league visits to Hillsborough (D1 L1), though they did lose last time out (0-2 in August 2015).
    • Despite having had the most shots on target in the Championship this season (32), only Preston (4) and Derby (1) have scored fewer goals than the Owls' total of five. <-- This is interesting!
    • Bristol City have already gained a league-high seven points from losing positions in the Championship this season.
    • The Robins fired in 35 shots (inc. blocks) in their last match against Rotherham, the most by a side in a Championship fixture since February 2015 when Brentford had 43 shots against Blackpool.

Wednesday fans are being pretty damned cocky on their forum, which is a bit surprising given their pretty poor record against us. They think that they'll dominate possession, we'll come and 'park the bus' and are talking about boosting their goal difference.

On paper, it's a difficult game, but their form coming into this game isn't great - provided our defence have a good game, we've got a great chance.

I think I'm going to agree with Hollowhead that we'll concede first but then come back yet again. 1-1.

ITS NOT POSITIONS THAT COUNT ITS POINTS we could be 7th to 11th

or hope the opposition responds with same!

the soft sell, preamble to softening the blow, should we lose has already commenced the "well we lost to a v good side"

posting comparisons we are not as good supports the above

don't think so this time if it is more than 1

yes i was over there earlier having a look, there are some clowns on there thinking we will park the bus etc, then there are others that seem a little more switched on about us and think it will be a tough game for them.

We are a completely different side to last season, are squad is sooo much stronger, and better, than last season and we tonked them 4-1 when they were in the play off spots.

Always love it when the opposition lord it over us ahead of the match, only to come down to earth with a bump. Still work to do, but looking good - seems like the praise of Wednesday is based on last season's final standings, rather than how they're actually playing now.

A different second half test for the team tonight. We usually come out having to chase the game, it will be interesting to see what LJ says to them and how they perform in the second half with a good lead to defend. This game could well be a defining moment this season.
