Why does there have to be an obligatory moment in every Hull City game where the other team have a strong spell? Why can't we shut teams down like we did to Leeds in our promotion season? Not good enough I'm afraid.
We was head a shoulders above Sheff Wed today in quality and should of put a weak team like them to bed I blame Bruce for not getting the best out his players personally, he can't motivate his team at the end the day ...
Good result, better in the second half, Hernandez was excellent, good point with 2 home games to come.
Don't think it's to do with motivation, they seemed up for it but they're being neutered by having such a defensive outlook which obviously confess from the manager.
Gonna need a serious good run at some point this season, these ok performances and points we should have gotten is not going to cut it later down the line.
2 points dropped, but overall a good result away! Hope it's a good game Tuesday, doing an Abel H on the day to get there, not Uruguay though!
Was he? I thought he was anonymous most of the game. I like this system but we don't have a striker who suits it. Hernandez just doesn't challenge for anything and the amount of long balls we play up the pitch we really need someone who isn't **** scared of getting hurt every time the ball comes to him. He's a decent finisher, and Akpom's a good runner, but we haven't got anyone with any real presence up front. It's so frustrating how poor this league is and how average every other team looks when we play them yet we can't score past any of them.
I'm not sure which game you were watching, Hernandez was excellent and worked his socks off, despite the Wendies trying to kick him off the park, always got straight up and with a smile on his face. Abel is my kind of striker, he's a sniffer and that kind of striker will always score more goals than a thirty yard shot type. Motm for me. Where's Ellewood?
We are simply not doing enough in the top third but it appears that we do not have the players capable of doing anything anyway. We have no attacking midfielders capable of going down the wing and crossing the ball - I am totally lost for words when it comes to Elmo as he is a shadow of the bloke who could out-sprint his man and get some brilliant crosses in. There's something wrong there. Lets hope Diamonde is the answer.
