I’m sat in a waiting room at castle hill, Mrs red is getting a test to see if there is a brain in that rather pretty but ****ing annoying heed of her’s. Been playing all the city vids posted, on full blast by the way, she was not amused. Been talking to a few city supporters here, the feel good factor in Hull today is at a ten, one being **** and ten being out of this ****ing world!!!! Come on boys !!!!

    Yep.
Lot's of differences to be fair.
It's just great to have a 'normal' manager who is flexible and understands it's about getting the best out of what you've got (whilst building toward what they really want), not some unique special philosophy. And also who understands that a team needs players with some physicality, bite, nous, etc (and fair play to Dublin and team for finally starting to address this).
Normal put in inverted commas, as I think Selles is far from normal. TWT of course, but I think we've got ourselves an absolute gem.

Ah, I can assure you the machine is most definitely faulty. No hint of a brain after my test.

On a much less flippant note, hope all goes well.

The feelings of euphoria haven’t subsided yet although
as a few others have said, yes, we’ve beaten a team who are vying for automatic promotion but the acid test will be whether Ruben can find the formula to unlock the stubborn defensive set ups of some of the teams around us at home.
It does feel as if Acun has, either by luck or judgment, pulled together the right combination of people to take us forward.
Dublin and the rest of the’brain team’. along with Selles and the rest of the coaching staff seem to have found us some players with a fair dollop of footballing nous and effort to go with their obvious talents and to complement those that we already had.
I really wanted both of the previous managers to succeed but I already have more confidence that this one can and by the looks of things, it’s going to be an enjoyable ride.

We've just had our best win in ages and you're picking fights and bringing up Rosenior yet again. Didn't you whinge when I didn't just celebrate Crooks' goal? Just be happy we won and let people enjoy it instead of trying to point score yet again.

I thought there was a good chance we’d be sitting 23rd after todays games and having to hope that we pulled a win at home from nowhere against Stoke with the pressure really on.

Now we will sit out of the relegation zone when we play them, with the opportunity to really look like a mid to top half team.

What Selles has done (and Dublin to be fair) makes us look like a team on the rise. Long may it continue…and just let it blossom Acun…step away…no tinkering needed now. You’ve stumbled upon the golden ticket.

On another thread, I stated it was my personal preference not to post on the football threads.
Off the top of my head, a couple of posts I remember. I suggested we needed a nasty bastard in midfield. It would appear we now have two. And in reply to a post about the defence, I think I said something like, Defence? we dont have one. Last night we did. The odd time tippy tappying at the back did not scare the crap out of me. And the employment of the old adage, nobody scores from Row Z, or from a throw in deep in their half.

The pitch. My own belief is Acun is preparing it for a crop of second earlies to alleviate the finances.

I think I’ve watched this about 100 times already. When Crooks sides foots the ball, it’s goes like the slowest missle, arrowing into the side of the goal. If the net wasn’t there it will still be on its way back to Hull still slowly rising, arrowing its way through life.

Why do all the post match reports suggest the ball from Drameh for the second goal was a scuffed cross? Looked intentional and a good ball into the box, clean connection on the ball. Looking for more excuses for Sheffield United’s poor defensive performance.
