Superb result for Hull that surprised me, Wilder does not say how good you were of course you battled and put the ball in the net 3 times, we SAFC play Luton, Plymouth, Cardiff home etc so need to do you a favour now. some teams/players/managers have arragance good luck for the rest of the season.
He slipped one in. Good to hear he's back. He's very supportive of the team, yet critical when merited. I see Swanny had some adniring comments today elsewhere. They'll be out on the town tonight I imagine. Risky weather to travel back.
I thought it was that he wanted a more natural left back, allowing Jacob to get forward more. And the.switched Macca because he believes him and Jones are his strongest central defensive pair.? Either way, he got it spot on.
Definitely I just felt Jones had to go long a lot more. We had our best spell when it changed, nothing against burns at all but it just helped to manage the game
I like Burnsy as a presenter. He has one of those voices which come across well on radio. Not so keen on him as a football commentator. Each to their own.
Not so sure about that,...at quite a few away games over the years ive been in bars at various hotels when the oaf as been free loading ....and all he does is slag city off .....**** the fat ****er... talentless ****
That's a fair comment. Think he's great for radio, particularly as he was the only source of matchday commentary I had for the greater part of 10 years, so I assume the nostalgia might crack over his deficiencies in commentary that I have when listening to him. I remember that my father -who has a basic English level- knew what was going on in the match just from his voice modulation.
Burney on telly would be weird but wonder how much that would be sub consciously prejudiced by knowing him as a radio commentator
Over the year we all suffer a lot of disappointment and frustrations, but we all know why we keep watching and supporting, it's because of nights like last night. I suspect no one apart from Hull City fans would have given us a cat in hell chance of beating the Blunts, but 2600 travelled on a stormy night, and many thousands watched on TV or their laptops, more in hope than expectation, and low and behold the mighty Tigers did us proud. It is difficult to single out anyone of them, because to a man they all but a shift in and had good games. All I will say is, Alzate is a baller and Crooks when he gets full match fit is going to be some player for us. Drameh, Gelhardt (I like his ****housery) & Kamara all had very good games, as did Jones, Burns, Macca and Jacob when he came on. Joseph had a very good debut, and Matazo looks to be a tidy play when he came on, and Pedro does what Pedro does, as Burnsy said would have loved to have seen him in his prime. A big shout out for Selles and the coaching team, who got the tactics spot on, also made thier substitution at the right time. I have to say seeing Crooks, Gelhardt, Matazo, & Joseph, Jarid Dublin looks to be doing a pretty good job. If we can sort out our home form, then we should be fine. On to Stoke, a win against them, and things will start to look a lot brighter.
He just tries to fill every silence which is fine on radio but on TV letting the game do the talking is occasionally good!
He needs an Ash or a Hughes or someone connected with the club on co Comms. Seems a bit too worried about filling dead air.
I've been a critic of Fletch, And tigers plus solo gig is a tough ask. But I've heard Fletch cover Harrogate, City, Scarborough and scunny now with a bit of production support behind him, and he's stopped mincing his words as much .. I hope he's got a decent career ahead of him.
