Yeah that's the one mentioned in the draught, it says between the stadium and sheepfolds stable, don't know why they would put one there though

The ferries idea is a cracker and would be brilliant for our fans up in Northumberland

Just imagine picking up at Berwick, Blyth and Tynemouth with a bar, big screens and strippers ...

... oops, forget the strippers, I was thinking back to the Boilermakers <cheers>

I'd make my way up to Berwick on a Friday night just to do that journey

If they're doing boats for Northumberland supporters, can they look into getting a boat from Hartlepool? Pick up from the marina, up the coast then drop off near the stadium. Trains are an absolute joke on a match day - they only put 2 carriages on a Saturday and it's like a bloody cattle truck at times

Why not mate, Seaham was mentioned for the 'pit villages' so Hartlepool would be a good start.

While we're at it why not a ferry, down the Wear, from Chester le Street next to the A1 <laugh>

The train you mention should be checked by Health and Safety officials as travelling represents a threat to health and welfare , the opening of the station at Horden has aggravated the situation . Last time we were on that train it was so packed that the guard couldn’t check tickets as he couldn’t even walk through the carriages . They know about the problems but choose to not do anything about it such as putting extra carriages on at peak times like match days and the lead up to Christmas.

I feel sorry for anyone who works, or even shops, on Saturdays then has to take the Metro to Newcastle after a game.

They're packed, unsafe and unfit for purpose ...

... add a bunch of Leeds or Coventry fans and it's abysmal.

It's shocking mate. It was reported that they were going to extend the number of carriages once the second platform had opened at Hartlepool, still waiting for that as far as I'm aware

Seaham is one of those towns that gets promised so much but seems to receive very little , the promised new leisure centre with a swimming pool still has not materialised, the extra carriages have still not materialised, public toilets have not materialised .what has materialised is the cancellation of the firework display , the parking charges were imposed . Durham county council must be making a lot of money out of Seaham without putting money in to developing the infrastructure for all of the new housing developments in the area .

All this is amazing to be seen not actually talking about the reconstruction projects but doing it. Totally awesome and the city/people very much deserve this.

Not forgetting the Mono-rail from Stanley and the rest of the North West Durham areas.

Exactly mate, the monorail is the cornerstone of the whole project ...

... apparently the footings have already gone in near Leadgate, using the old line from Consett Iron Company.

This bridge is not over the river, it is over the footpath next to stables that leads down to the river. When you walk past the stables towards the stadium, you see a row of trees, this is the path to riverside
