Wouldn't disagree. TBH much of the irritation (other than the obvious) is down to previous with Allardyce and his condemnation of similar actions by others.

Sorry but the only person who knows that for certain is the ref. At full speed it looked a nasty stamping action which caught M'Vila. But I guess it evens itself up (didnt Ashley Williams save a shot in the box against us earlier this season with no retribution?)

Mvila's reaction looked over the top but I've kicked the bottom of someone's studs before (a few times) and it ****ing hurts! It wears off but it hurts like hell when it happens. Also (to the Swansea fans) Ayew kicks the ground and flings his arms out and claims to win a penalty. Just as bad as M'Vila's play acting.

Do you condemn Ayew for his reaction to kicking the floor? Claiming for a penalty when no player had touched him? Or do you not see this as cheating?

Also... Have you ever kicked someone's studs? I know for certain that it hurts like hell

No, because he didn't kick the floor deliberately and has since said he was convinced someone had stepped on his heel which happens - just as players don't realise a ball hit them last before going out play because it happened behind them or a player might not realise he's clipped the heel of a player as his concentration is elsewhere. He didn't get up laughing and grinning at your fans either. M'Vila knew exactly what had happened and exactly what reaction he'd get as did Borini. Had your player gone down and claimed a free kick it might have been a similar case but he didn't - he played to get a fellow professional sent off. Ayew, having seen the replay, agrees he was not fouled but at the time was convinced his foot had been caught from behind.
    Has M'vila or Borini commented?
Had Sam thought Ayew had deliberately cheated he would have said so, Sam lies to say things like that about other team's players (you will find out).

I can understand your comment - but when Chico Flores overdid the play acting to get the ref to notice Andy Carroll's continuous assaults on him (Carroll had elbowed him in the face twice and drawn blood) Swansea's management and fans rounded on the Spaniard.

But Marcus, one of the original posters did say that M'Vila laughed at the fans when he was getting treatment which, if true, is just about in keeping with today's players milking a situation to gain any advantage, which in this card was a dismissal for M'Vila kicking the bottom of the other lad's boot. Sam said it was a soft red but the ref did what he did possibly thinking our lad was badly injured by his response.

There was a similar incident a few seasons ago when a player was sent off because Ashley Cole did the same thing. At the time I saw it nothing more than two players going in hard for the same ball. That red card was also rescinded but Chelsea won, pretty much like now.

My points about all this though have been I can understand their fans anger given the importance of the result.

Got link to that incident? If it did happen it would be mentioned. Not seen anything other than a message board accusation. If he has shame on him but evidence is needed.

Posts 185 and 206 by Bob the Slob if you are asking about the Swansea red. The Cole incident was some seasons ago against Arsenal if I remember rightly.

He means evidence other than just the say-so of someone on a message board. Not saying Bob is lying just that I don't know Bob and would be more inclined to believe it if reputable media commented on it or there were pictures/ videos. It's not like the game wasn't widely recorded and reported.

I do not have one second of evidence, nor am I bothered about finding any. My original post on this subject was to one about tjeir board being in meltdown about the red card and its possible impact on the result. Simply said I could understand their anger as just about everyone who saw the incidnet thought it was a harsh red. Including Sam and a few previous posters on here.

The subject has now become completely skewed and is reaching court case level about evidence. I like to give all supporters the right to have their opinions about what cuddashuddawuda been the outcome had not been for some action or other.

We'll overcome the fiasco of that dreadful game of officials, it's one thing to play the opposition team but quite another to have to play against the officials also, Swansea will soon rise from the bottom, that I have no doubt..........<ok>

Oh I'm not having a go, just highlighting I appreciate the skepticism BFA would have regarding the claims that M'Villa laughed (or whatever the claim was). I don't think it was a red card at all, most don't seem to and it clearly had a large bearing on the game. It went Sunderlands way and against Swansea, it happens.

Not convinced by the signing of Shelvey and shocked at how much we paid but not as shocked as how well he played today.

If we'd signed a midfielder I'd never heard of before and saw him today for the first time I'd think we had a steal at £12m. He won us three points today and when you're in the position in the league Newcastle and Swansea are you have to wonder how many points £12m is worth.

It's all fine margins. Personally think Swansea and Newcastle are both a bit better than Sunderland but my opinion doesn't change the fact that Sunderland have taken 7 points in 3 games from us (combined) this season and I'll be hiding behind the sofa expecting the worse when they come visiting later in the season. 3 from the bottom 6 to go unless Watford/ West Brom have an implosion but I think it will be Norwich, Villa and one of us three. Whoever goes down will deserve it and we can point at individual refereeing errors but the reality of it is that none of us are playing very well (understatement).

Agree, but I see you and hopefully us pulling away from the bottom, our problem is simply a striker, Gomis has been crap, and our backup striker (Edder-Porto) is just as bad, so Ayew is carrying our front line at the minute. If we don't sign a striker in the next 2 weeks, then it could well be a hard slog for us, but I'm pretty sure we will. I see Norwich dropping back into the mix along with Bournmouth and WBA..........<ok>
