I just applied for the best job I have ever seen, European Football Analyst for OptaSports
There's no way I'll get it but I gave it a ****ing good go!
It's based in Waterloo so I would have to commute (part time so I'm guessing/hoping weekends and evenings) and just watch football and use the analysis ICT system.
I would honestly compromise my school grades for this because it would be a route into bigger places in sports :)
But as I say.. 0.000000001% chance of even being looked at due to age and lack of experience.

If I recall the Teletubbie nightclub is in Amsterdam... I spent most of the time in the bars around the red light district to be honest. Know an amazing restaurant called blue orange or something like that.

When I went to Amsterdam the clubs were stupidly packed, I mean you seriously couldn't move and it took about 60mins to get a drink! In the end after 1 drink we left and went to a certain district...the rest they say is history!

Our hostel is in said district...
It's called the Flying Pig and has its own bar with cheapy prices so we may not even get very far tbh!

I'll check it out cheers.

Has anyone here ever seen "A Serbian Film".

Yeah I'm doing work experience at the moment and some of my friends have class jobs at the Telegraph and Reuters and I'm in a Music shop so my lack of good placement has made me motivated to do that haha

Good luck with the interview! <ok>

Cheers mate <ok>.
Ah I did my work experience in a garage since I was thinking of doing mechanical engineering when I was 16. I would have loved to have done mine in a music shop, not that I've found any jobs in the music industry after my degree mind.
That's amazing that they've gotten into the Telegraph & Reuters, I suppose they know someone at those companies though? Most my mates had similar crap work experience jobs to me, I think all ended up just being the tea & coffee lad/lass for a week!

Yeah I think living in an area where loads of people commute you always knows someone who knows someone, but I was pretty surprised that the bigger places accept applications.. I wish I'd planned mine better! Yeah the music shop isn't that bad, it's good getting to play some expensive guitars at least!

Good luck with the interview!! Doubt you'll read this before you go there but if you do remember keep decent eye contact; nod to show your paying attention when they are talking to you; and try to keep relaxed!

Anyone seen this on the Sunderland board, could tell them all sorts about the troubles at the Stadium of Light.

Cheers mate, just sat around twiddling my thumbs for another 15/20 minutes as it's not until 10.
I've researched the company and come up with a list of questions to ask them and went over in my head what they will probably ask me. Also taking loads of deep breaths as I normally always yawn - even if I'm not tired!
I probably won't get the job, but I'll give it my best shot and the interview is experience anyway so will stay positive whatever the result.

Yeah, good questions are usually what sets different candidates apart and you're right about each interview being experience....think I went through at least 5 interviews with different firms before I got this job! Let us know how it goes <ok>

Just remember that your CV shows you have the skills they need so you fit the job remit.

One important factor in the interview is that it gives both parties the ability to see if they are suited to each other in terms of personality etc.
