If there's only a few people gone for it, and you've obviously had yours early, there's no reason why they couldn't have a quick debrief after doing the interviews and give you a call back this afternoon.
Usually within a few hours. The job I have now was confirmed within 20 minutes of finishing the interview. I was sitting in a pub about 5 minutes away from thier offices when they called.
Ok then. Well I'll remain hopeful, but it seems with every job I get an interview for, I'm sat in a room with people more mature than me. There's people in their mid 20's, going up to people around their 40's. I'm always up against people senior to me, really frustrating like.
That's the nature of a recession chap. There are a lot of experienced people out tere who are out of work. I once had 3 jobs on the go in the mid 90's (2 with an agency) and one weekend I was assigned to package up books in boxes for a publisher. The guy working next to me was a fully qualified doctor who couldn't get work via the NHS or BUPA as they weren't recruiting, didn't have the money to buy into a GP so he was making £4 an hour doing menial jobs.
Living on the doorstep should go in your favour, they'll know they can rely on you to turn up on time.
There were 3 people in the room with me at the time waiting, two fit lasses in their mid 20's I reckon, and a woman that looked at each of us like we had just pissed on here. She was around 30 i think. So I'm against 4 lasses. Bastard women, how dare they think they can compete for work above men!
Basically one of guys being stupid and trying to provoke the GC lot and them all making prats of themselves.
Sky Sports news make me laugh. Once we eventually came out of the top 6, they kept showing graphics of the 'Top 6' and once we got back into the top 6 they only showed the 'Top 3'. It makes me laugh that they only want to show the likes of Man U, Man City, Chelsea, Spurs, Arsenal and Spurs and dont want to acknowledge that we have a chance of getting into Europe. I also remember before Liverpool and Arsenal were out of the Top 4 they would only show the 'Top 4', now they are out of it god forbid that Liverpool are not shown on Sky Sports.
It's pathetic. If we manage to finish 6th this year they'll probably still refer to the top 6 as Liverpool and not us, if we do it for two years running they might start to consider using the phrase 'the top 7' so they dont lose their precious Liverpool.
