I would like McCarthy but that was before Burley applied for the job! And I am not advocating him doing it on his own but more with the view of grooming a younger manager in the making like Tarricco who would take over in a season or two. We need continuity as I am at pains to point out. You lot just want to focus in on Burley coming back when what i am talking about is a man to save us this season and who will hand over when we are in a much better state.
would tarricco leave brighton? holland maybe? trust me, i hope drunken george goes back to ipswich. the results will be, shall we say... interesting
They don't have a flippin clue who they want. Needless to say, they won't appoint the man they should. They are just four points off safety with the vast majority of the season to go, so there's no need to panic yet. Appoint a new man with fresh ideas FFS.
It's fair to say, as a group of fans we don't know who we want. I don't know who I want. I know who I don't but the issue is there are a lot of decent managers out there, but no stand out candidate. For me Tisdale would be a good appointment, as would Coyle, as would possibly Burley. On the subject of Karl Robinson (Supers) you claim he didn't have much in the way of financial support when I believe he was substantially backed (for a league 1 club) so his name is not one that excites me as much as I imagine he's used to being able to attract the bigger players in their pond. And as for your comment: We had a similar argument (over different subject matter) yesterday, after you made some statements about the ability of the Ipswich team after seeing us on only two occasions. Just wanted to bring that back to your attention so you can have a think about....
robinson has not been been bankrolled at all. any money he's spent has come from sales of players as for the comment about two games, what the hell are you talking about?! i base my opinion of your players on more than two games this season! i base it on years of watching them. please, if you want to have a debate, try to understand what i'm saying a bit more clearly.
I may be a little sh1t faced but I'm sure MK Dons are bot poor - hence why they signed Bullard from us.... Also the point I'm making Supers is that for all your wise and worldly about our beloved Town's new signing where on....... What was it? The back of two games.. not to labour on the point but two games is hardly enough etc etc.
What I dont understand is how a professional football club run by supposedly intelligent people can be so blinkered. Norwich are only 40 miles away and beingthe local rival you would think they would have had some knowledge of what happened here. The similarities between where Ipswich are now and where we were just after Rodent left are remarkable. Too many Loanees, two or three bad managerial apointments in a row, changing manager too often.... It must be so frustrating for the Town fans who can see past local rivalry and have an understanding of where they are heading unless the correct decision is made now. Norwich made the wrong one at the time and it really did take hitting rock bottom for that to change. Will the same happen to Town? Are there any Ipswich fans who think maybe that is exactly what they need? Ultimately, it did us no harm in the end.
