Don't let it bother u lads ur going on about getting under his skin but it seems to me that he's got under urs, well a few of u anyway if it were an ex Sunderland player doing it to them we would laugh our bollocks off
Do you guys not like Shearer then? To be fair, outside of Newcastle he's a bit of a joke, great scoring record but that's about it...has all the personality of a boiled potato. I'd agree with Cestria's points on Pardew, total failure with a few sprinkles of glitter on there. He's achieved nothing really, and it's more miraculous that he takes very good sides and makes them poor, than anything else he achieves. Being a manager can't be easy, unless you're Fergie of course, because your job is never really safe and you're always looking over your shoulder, but I think Pardew is an exception. Given an 8 year contract is safety enough but double that up with the fact that he's probably the last man in the world who has the required qualifications and actually wants to work under the goons that run the club. Yes they've got stability and a fantastic (probably the best) financial infrastructure but we're not playing monopoly, this is football and their club is being ran like it's a shop. Last season that blueprint worked well for the fans, it was brilliant to watch as a neutral, totally admirable but this season it's like walking into Comet on closing day, miserable staff, no stock apart from broken televisions and laptops, and a manager running around trying his best to make the public think it's a normal day. Besides this, I think their playing staff SHOULD have the quality to smash them through 40 points, but who's to say their injuries worries are over for the season, or that there's no more red cards coming?
Terry_Hardacre "Given an 8 year contract" but does anybody know the real reason why he was? I have heard the rumours why, something abouta casino?

Terry, I wrote something LAST season to suggest that he will have 2 good years then begin to **** up, as one glance at his cv shows he always drops the ball after a couple of decent seasons and was slaughtered by the mags for saying it. Wonder if some iof them are now also thinking it? Sure, he deserves the credit for galvanising their team last season and for finishing 5th (teriffic achievement BTW) but they had very few injuries and managed to keep a steady team together for much of the season. It was a gamble that paid off last year but this season it hasnt. Injuries and a loss of form by some big players has led to them struggling this term. They will have enough no doubt, like ourselves, to climb away from the bottom but they have been on a terrible run of late over 10/12 games and the next 2 are both 6 pointers, as are our next 2 or 3 as well. Newcastle have deeper problems though imo with the departures of Ba and maybe Coloccini and the breaking news that even Ben Arfa is maybe ready to bail out too. Pardew has form for dismantaling good teams (he failed to recognise Tevez's talents almost until it was too late) and we will have to see how much they have players still up for the fight. Even the mags have said they have heard street talk about a split in the camp between anti and pro Pardew players. To be frank, it shows on the pitch too. I have no such concerns about our squads desire and fight and our recent form is good enough to keep us from the wolves this winter. That said, I still expect us to be playing top flight derby games in 2013/14 season as well.
When his back is against the wall he has a tendency to turn around and drop his pants. They're going to point the finger at him, of course because he is at the top. He has to realise that if he's going to be laden with undue credit (let's face it, his scouts and players did the hard work) then he has to be prepared to take the **** that gets thrown at him too. With the players he has at his disposal, he should have managed more than 21 points, no doubt about it. He's spent 20 games trying to facilitate a dumb muppet who was never going to stay at Newcastle long-term, to the detriment of their £10m striker's form and in turn to the detriment of their entire season. What kind of manager does that? He should have told Ba to find himself a new club in the summer, any good manager needs to forward plan...we could all see it, he was going to Chelsea, Arsenal or Liverpool, we seen it happening as soon as Harry Redknapp let the world know about his clause. Anyway, I'm not getting into this too much I don't know all of the ins and outs at that club, far from it but you don't come away from the Emirates having shipped 7 and follow it up with a pathetic display at lower league opposition if your manager is doing a bloody good job. He deserves to be called out by the greatest club football manager of all time, and that's exactly what Fergie did, Fergie's message was loud and clear and directly firmly in the face of Pardew... 'You're not big enough to get in this ring with me'.
