Do you know the TV series Stargate..? My eldest brother loves it. I sat through 20 minutes of one episode and was close to suicide to appease the boredom. Is that worse or better..?

[Nsfw] Wasn't expecting an episode dedicated entirely to a battle. Good though. Ygritte leaving us is sad but I can't say I ever really saw her and Jon going anywhere.

Loving Sam in that episode. Craving Tyrion and Arya pretty hard now though. [/nsfw]

Stargate started off ok but with each reincarnation(there were about 6) it got worse. But even that was better then Revolution. Every single actor in it was either really **** or really **** and cheesy.

Here's something I've learnt from the post-uni life: you have less free time, but you'll use the free time you do have a lot better. Pints of cava on weekends, and perhaps once or twice during the week if you can handle the occasional hangover at work.

I watched 5-10mins of it. It was ok until the actors talked, the story behind it seemed ok. But done on a budget compared to other series.

Yeah, I'm sure I'll look back fondly but I have a great deal of really boring days at the moment. I'm going to try not to make a habit of pints of cava.

I remember watching a film with a mate of mine. We were about 17 and taking our new girlfriends to the cinema to watch The Island of Dr Moreau. Of course, at the time, we were in the back row, but gradually, even though we weren't paying anything like 100% attention to the film, it dawned on us that this was the biggest pile of dog's do-do that had ever been projected. It wasn't even bad/funny, like Plan 9 From Outer Space, but truly awful. My mate had been told by a work colleague that the film was good. When he went into work the next morning the guy was pissing himself laughing.

What was even worse, the girlfriends buggered off soon after. We just couldn't recover from that incredible low point. :)

Yep loved the film....it also gave birth to stargate alantis, stargate infinity, and stargate universe but they were not so good.

Yeah, but he has all the DVDs, and still watches the episodes every night on Pick TV. I seriously don't get that.

The main female actresses (Charlie, Charlie's mum, Neville's wife) were terrible, but some of the males were decent (although Danny in the first series was pretty bad too).

The story was interesting and it was light entertainment and fairly easy to follow. Shame they're cancelling it.
