So The Independent is reporting a £4m bid for young Shaw. No great shock, but the language is annoying. Apparently he may "consider Arsenal a better option" and "it is unlikely he will play for Southampton next season".

Good stuff, eh?!
 
Well... he might consider Arsenal a better option, we don't know, and it is very unlikely he'll play regularly next year.
 
He's unlikely to play for Saints next season because he's behind Fox and Harding in the pecking order
 
With all this transfer speculation he better not turn out to be another Joseph Mills. I'm expecting at least Wayne Bridge.

He will be class, seen him play a few times. Has a great left peg on him, hence why he can play in midfield aswell.

I agree with Beef_Dripping here. He pushed out Ian Harte for a starting place at Reading and his impressive performances lead to a couple of MotM awards, He has great pace and just needs to work a bit more on his defensive duties and he will be a quality attacking wing-back

My bad, it's late and my eyes are heavy.

For the record I also think Shaw will be a brilliant prospect, haven't seen any more of him then the Saints Player highlights show but I've read some brilliant reviews from people whose opinions I trust and with the current premium you have to pay for English players, the top 4 teams wouldn't be inquiring if they didn't see something too.
 
he turned 17 yesterday and the 3 year ore-contract agreement he signed when he was 14 will have kicked in so can't see him going anywhere soon. Can't be bothered to find the OS article, but it's been brought up plenty of times. JWP, Callum Chambers, Jake Sinclair, Sam McQueen and Luke Shaw all signed them at the same time.
