<laugh> not touchy just irritated that everyone recently has been trying to use stats to suggest what player is better (i.e. the keogh/becchio argument) when in actual fact its not as simple as that

If we wanna lighten the mood, how are ya tonight? (or morning dependant on where you are)

Sorry mate, missed your response. Was safely tucked up by that time. Think my response would have been 'knackered'. :emoticon-0102-bigsm

But Keough is an abysmal striker as his stats reflect and as I have pointed out before he creates little and scores even less. The argument for what he brings to the team doesn't stand either as his last ten games for us while he was on the pitch we never scored. My stats for Forssell were correct for club level and while on the subject of playing levels, he scored only 5 goals for Chelsea in 33 appearances with the majority of his games being for Palace and Birmingham.

I am not saying Leeds should rush out and buy him but for a club of our size and with funds that we know are there we should have been able to snap up Wilson for RB, Wes Morgan at CB and Sharp. The point I was making is how you were quick to disregard his potential with "He lacks the pace to be a quality prem striker and he does miss chances that he should score" but a few months earlier you felt Forssell was a good signing for us when he missed shed loads, lacks pace and is passed his sell by date.

You have always maintained Southampton will drop away and you have disregarded them in the promotion race, Leicester will never do it and how Leeds are good enough for promotion. As a Leeds fan I sit frustrated watching our best player sold (Gradel) and our captain Howson sold, false promises about new players coming in, minimum funds being wasted on crap players who offer little to no improvement and hearing that it looks like Bristol City can afford a RB that we refuse to pay for and another transfer window passing by with squads improving and ours taking a backwards step.

My rant isn't about missing out on Sharp, it is about Leeds Utd and Ken Bates lack of ambition compared to teams around us like Southampton who have just come up and nobody can shout parachute payments!!

Ristac, I understand your frustration but

Forssell was signed when we had a serious lack of strikers and it was free, not only that he is a 'becchio' style player who was actually injured longish term so it was a wise signing for the time

Billy Sharp is McCormack in disguise, he may be slightly better in some ways but worse in others. Wouldn't really improve our team

Wes Morgan, I said at the time this is the sort of player we should be going in for and share your frustration with Leicester getting him especially considering the amount of CBs they have, who knows we might be able to sign one of their good quality CBs

Southampton, I still feel will drop off and there recent form has backed that up, they were never gonna run away with the league but with the way they have strengthened they may be able to stay up there

Gradel certainly was not our best player and was overrated imo, I woulda liked to keep hold of him but he was so poor in so many ways (and im not gonna go through my issues with him, i've gone through them before) and had a lot to learn for me. Got too big headed and wanted to move of which we let him, rather cheaply i might add and i think we may have got more for him but I still stand behind that decision.

Howson is a player I genuinely wanted to keep hold of (and still owe everyone on the forum 100 pounds because of it) and I seriously was shocked he didn't sign a new contract. I understand why we let him go but i am still deeply hurt by this move.

And the lack of signings or more the low quality signings are so frustrating, it ****ing annoys me but I am still unsure whether thats because of Bates or Grayson (and again im not gonna argue about this)
