Only a few hours before Shane tweeted his sadness of another Australian legend Rodney Marsh passing.
Then Shane succumbs to a massive heart attack.

Unbelievable sadness that the greatest 'legger' of all time has died aged 52.

The greatest cricketer for me, and an even better pundit. He was always articulate and balanced in his commentary and analysis, unlike some of his compatriots such as Chappel and Slater, who were always anti-English. A true gent and a legend.

He also knobbed Liz Hurley, so extra kudos!!

Shane Warne obituary: 'A man who made the cricket world spin'

I was brought up by my Dad to watch City in the football season & Somerset in the summer, so many legends I have been honoured to have watched, Warne was the best spinner in the world, a great character who will be sadly missed and left us at such a young age.

Sad at such an early age, was the most successful spinner of the modern game.. bit like comparing Mathews to Messi?
