I think you are spot on there typist. United supporters might disagree but there is a massive difference between playing for Celtic/Rangers versus any other SPL team. Even more so as a keeper. Don't know about Boruc coming back though, second time around never seems to be quite the same if you ask me. Maybe Lenny can find someone from off the radar like he did with Izzy.
I was impressed with him at Dundee United and thought we got a really good back up keeper when he signed. He turned out to be another in a long line of not so good goalies we've had over the last 10-15 years. Guys like Gould, Douglas (sorry Rab), Hedman and Mark Brown were not good enough for a club like Celtic.
Douglas was a decent keeper (not great) but outwith him it goes back much further than 10-15 years for a decent keeper Bonner was a good keeper but his back up was always ****e, Marshall was superb and awful in equal messure it awlays been a position we have struggled with and I really think we under estimate the value of a top keeper.
