    I think he will be a wasted talent unfortunately, despite full back problems he has only had one game this season and that is not enough for a 21 year old to develop. Which is why I always say an average player should never be allowed to hinder the progress of a talented youngster which is exactly what we done to Fergy.

    He should be on the bench more, he's versatile and talented. He could do a job in defence if needed and change things going forward, Smith can't manage either.

    Personally I'd rather see Fergie developed into a left back, it's a position we struggle to fill. Left wing on the other hand is probably our strongest position, we're struggling to get Ben Arfa and Marveaux on the pitch without trying to find games for Ferguson as well.

    I imagine he will get a start at left back vs Blackburn. It will be very very hard for him to break into the team on the left wing so hopefully he will develop into a canny little left back, just needs to bulk up a bit. It's not as if he hasn't looked comfortable when playing there. <ok>
