I reckon he could play left hand side of midfield. Help out the defence, lightning speed on the break, and decent crosses into the box. But for some reason, Jonas seems undroppable.
100% this. Jonas needs to start offering more offensively when he plays wide left, it irritates me when people say he works hard (this should be a given of any NUFC player) and he's a team player (for the record I agree on both counts).
However I can't recall the last time Jonas terrorised a full back or whipped in a dangers cross between the opposition defence and keeper. Just like a strikers job is to score goals a wingers job is to provide assists and chip in with at least 5 goals a year, something Jonas hasn't done since being at the club.
It might not sound like it but I do actually love the bloke, he's a good player but it's just the fact that to a lot of our fans (and Pardew) he's deemed undroppable and that should definitely not be the case. Especially given his recent poor form and Fergie's recent good form, Fergie's confidence is probably sky high now and for me should be in our first 11 come tomorrow.
