Makes sense, but the fact Pardew can't see that Sammy isn't ready is ridiculous.

Marveaux. The forgotten man. I think he'll be key when fit.

The only issue with all of this is Jonas on the right. It's untested.

From how many minutes? Obertan's got two from playing nearly every game.

He played less than 10 times in the league last season, if we had a better striker to aim for, (It was mainly Lovenkrands) then he would have easily had a few more with the balls he was putting in.

Is Jonas right footed? Anyone know?

I keep forgetting Marveaux even plays for us, it's like Gosling last year.

Would definitely start him over Obertan, but someone claiming he has end product, when that is definitely uncertain at the minute, is crazy.

    That is not a certainty.

Lovenkrands scuffed a few wide and one that springs to mind instantly was one where Lover just headed it straight to the keeper. He gave the front two enough opportunities and I'm pretty sure with better strikers he would have had a few more assists.

Possible, but nothing is certain in football. I hope Shane proves to be quality.

If it was as simple as that why would he have played so much on the left? He crosses with both feet anyway, and neither are particularly good. Also playing on the right he couldnt cut inside.

One of Jonas' best games last year was as CAM against Chelsea, could work wonders.

Marv is ****ed basically for this season at least. I think next season he'll be like a new signing.

He's played on the right before. He's strong with both feet so he will still cut inside. Perhaps we could see him crossing more with his right foot being slightly stronger.

Hasn't Pardew said that he sees Ferguson as a left full/wingback? Hopefully get goes back on this and lets him play as a winger...

Think that's just because he's more likely to get games at full back.

He did look very good at CAM and I would play him there again, but I wouldnt want Sammy on the right.

I wonder if the fan cult status Sammy has is giving him preference in Pardew's eyes. Sounds absurd, obviously the staff will choose the players on their own merit, but he certainly has been getting a lot more time over the last 6 months since Darlington.

Chant for Fergie to come on? Works with HBA right? <laugh>
