Tell you what, can you imagine this happening to Man Utd? The referee (and the FA) wouldn't dare. Taggart would have been apoplectic.

Well it wouldn't have been red card and most likely not even a yellow. It would have been ignored by the ref with play continuing and Suarez ushered to get up.

Then in the subsequent replays (if any shown) the pundits would have admitted that although reckless no contact was made and all fuss would be swept under the carpet. The 'correct' decision made.

It's all so boringly predictable that it isn't worth getting annoyed by it...

I didn't think it was nearly as dangerous as Suarez on Distin last week, or even as bad as Sterling on Cisse, who didn't even get a booking. There's still no point appealing it mind.

It was a red, when i saw the ref showing the card i had no idea what it was for but the second the replay was shown it was clear that Colo went for the player not the ball (it was pretty much an off-the-ball incident) and made contact on the back of his leg.

If it had been Cattermole doing it to Ben Arfa most of the "it was nothing" geordies would be kicking off and talking about big bans.

He deserved the red, he deserves a 3-match ban and its a shame as we need him. Silly boy.

It was a red for a moment of madness no complaints on that, BUT can anyone explain how Surhin commits countless fouls and never gets sent off, let alone booked. Also what about the consistent diving from Sterling and Suarez. Also Sterling's tackle on Perch would have been a yellow if our player had done it.

It was a studs showing tackle at leg breaking height. Colo pulled it back at the last spkit second so there was only very minial contact but that doesn't matter. Straight red, no question.

No complaints on this one. Didn't really get him as he intended but pure filth from Colo. A rare momment of latin madness from him but I think we can let him off given his overall performances for us. I think he was just frustrated with the on fire Suarez. It seemed to me there is a bit of history there too as it was completely out of character. I wouldn't be surprised if Suarez has been chuntering away and Colo has take the bait.

He went to hurt him. Hard to have any sympathy with either Colo or Suarez. I mean we'd all like to kick the ugly little gopher wouldn't we? I can only remember one other time when Colo has lost it in this fashion, I think it was Bolton away. Red mist was obvious yesterday and his ignoring of Pardew's question of "why" as he trudged off said it all really!

It was a straight red card, Colo worst game ever for me his head was all over the place. I dont know if donkey teeth and him have history but there seems to be no love lost on Colo part. Well done to the lads who dug in and got us a well deserved draw.

On the bright side, the games he misses are ones you could probably afford to lose him for.

Reporter " Mr Suarez, it appears that Coloccini was calling you donkey throughout the game, is that your nickname?"

Suarez " No, eeeaaaww, eeeaaaww, eeeaaalways calls me donkey and I can't understand why "

    This

I'd also like to add I didn't realise but they should have had a penalty early in the first half.

We were very lucky to get a point yesterday and Pardew I'm afraid lost his mind in his post match comments saying we should have won the game. I'm very worried because it means he thinks his system worked which if we are all honest know it didn't at all.

    Not a penalty for me.

And Pardew said that he thought the first goal would win it. Except for some truly special skill from donkey teeth to turn a hopeful punt into a goal, it would have. They really didn't create much else the whole of the afternoon.

Not a pen at all if you are talking about the Colo on Suarez. If you watch the slow mo replay it clearly shows the ball hitting Colo's thigh before he makes contact with Suarez. Therefore it cannot be a penalty as he has played the ball first.

I can see Pards point but I thought a draw was a fair result. Sure Liverpool had more possession and we re the side on the front foot but bar Shelvey's chance, what did they actually create? Very little. Everything else was blocked or well defended. Pards basically employed the same tactics against Rodgers Swansea. Allow them the ball, defend well and get them on the break. We had as many clear cut chances as they did overall and were full value for a point.

Particularly bearing in mind their goal wasn't even a chance but a bit of individual brilliance.

Krul didn't have many to save really. Nothing where you'd say he pulled off a worldy. Bottom line is Liverpool are pretty toothless and heavily reliant on the supremely talented, but dislikeable Suarez. I'm sure if Liverpool had posed a different threat Pardew would have set up to suit. As it is he got it bang on for this particular game.

Krul only made about 2 saves all day, one with his feet from Suarez and one from a long range Suarez goal. Can't remember seeing him make a meaningful save other than diving on shelveys shot (which probably wouldn't have even made it to the line).
