Where has he made fun of Hillsborough? unless i've missed it?

Unless your point is you can't make scouse jokes because of Hillsborough?

I have no idea what your point is to be honest.

    It was an ill-advised overreaction.

Some 'hilarious' Scouser 'jokes' in here lads.

All about 30 years out of date, and about as funny as a yeast infection.

    Well done.

And have you noticed how some of those posting are the exact same ones who piss their pants whenever anything detrimental is said about Hull?

    Indeed.

Most probably haven't been to Liverpool in living memory, otherwise they would know that the place is a fantastic City these days. Hey ho.

Q: Why does the River Mersey run through Liverpool?
A: Because if it walked it would be mugged.

I know it can't compete with the mythical "scouse humour".

    Calm down calm down.

Don't forget - Liverpool was City of Culture in 2008. What's the bet they made a better fist of it than Hull's idiots will?

(Oh - and Leicester: when was that?)

Tobes, Liverpool is indeed a fine city and the regeneration of the docks area is impressive, I was last there when the 3 Queen ships were in port that was awesome. But Hull hasn't a cat in hell's chance of attracting the same level of finance as Liverpool and Lancashire in general seems to attract investment far in excess of those of us on the East Coast. Take the steel crisis, all talk seems centre on the Welsh steel plant, but hello what about Scunthorpe? Just thank goodness Siemens came along.

All the talk is about Port Talbot, because Scunthorpe was bought and has been saved already.

What they've done with the City centre with the Liverpool 1 development is truly stunning compared to what it was like 20 years ago mate.

The last piece of the jigsaw is the Liverpool Waters project, that will develop the rest of the water front beyond the current Albert Dock area, when it finally comes to fruition.

The European Capital Of Culture is, as OLM, says a completely different thing. Decided in a different way.Brings a lot more money in for a start. Looking at the list, I think that so far only ourselves have people who think that s cultural event would be a pattie throwing contest.

I've had the odd great night out in Liverpool, I had a mate with a flat at the top end of Bold St (near the bombed church) and I used to go for the weekend.

This is him singing, we spent a week in Tenerife once singing this very song round the pool. <laugh>

Seems like most of them are from one Leicester fan though.. don't mind Liverpool the place too much myself, not really too keen on LFC though always preferred Everton
