if we play like this every team can beat us .. we are just awful .. bad defending, can't keep a ball.. don't chase a ball .. can't even pass or shot just now we have a chance to counter .. is Lukakau and 7 Sevilla players with him !!! just tell me how we will create a chance?
that is fkn boring ... is good result for us .. and more than what we deserved anyway today.. don't care if Sevilla score an away goal and kick us out at next match.. bcz with such performance, they deserve to go to next stage more than us. Jose plan with slower Mata and Sanchez was so horrible , that you can see how we started playing better once they have been replaced we are playing worst with Sanchez in the team benching Martial and lacking pace
he will come good .. but not at wings ... we need martial // Sanchez need to play freely behind the striker picking up assists and trying to score a goal
Not a good watch. 0-0 is ok as a result. We just need a win, any win at OT. JM works out the risks. He doesn’t think it is worth going for a win if the risk of a defeat is increased. Sevilla may not travel very well and at OT he should be favourite to win. A draw is not good enough and that should help United in their thinking. Attack from the start.
The comments on BBC are hilarious. Fools are falling over each to comment on how "AWFUL" we are. But I actually watched the second half. I didn't think we were that bad. Seville is not exactly walk in the park for crying out loud. I think people take the comments about Mourinho way too far. Most of it is ridiculous hyperbole.
If we had that type of performance away at Real, Barca or Bayern, I'd be saying great performance. But that was a dire performance against a very poor side for this stage of the CL. It is getting to the stage now, that I actually prefer watching other games rather than Uniteds games. I just can't be dealing with this ****e football against average opposition. That was as painful a match to watch as I can remember.
It was shocking, no idea how good players can look so dull. If you start with Herrera and have to take him off why not put on Lingard who has the energy and drive to get around the pitch instead of Pogba who is clearly off form (can't be arsed) and does little in attack or defence. Sanchez is really starting to piss me off now, you know exactly what he will do every time he gets the ball, leave Martial/Rashford out wide and fit Sanchez in up front if you feel the need to play him. FFS Jose, sort this out.
We never needed Sanchez, in my opinion. We have enough quality in the squad to overcome not having Sanchez. But hey, today's football is about buy, buy, buy. And in return, fans have come to expect so much more. But let's not pretend that under Fergie, we didn't play like tonight in away games. Because we did just that to readapt to Europe which is not always just all about attacking and attacking. This is where people have a problem with Mourinho's approach. If we get through with a good scoreline at OT, no one would even remember this match.
I wouldn't mind but that Seville side, are dire, apart from maybe Banega there isn't a player of any quality in their side, and even he's hit and miss. So to play the way we did, with 1 shot on target and heavily relying on De Gea to paper over the cracks, is just disappointing. I don't even get why Lingard, Rashford and Martial where all on the bench. As you say Sanchez is just not looking great, and we're paying him 500k a week. More than Ronaldo and Messi It honestly does make me laugh some of the ridiculous decisions that have been made at our club since Fergie retired. It is just stupid decision after stupid decision. I obviously don't want De Gea to go, but atleast it will make the board realise just how poorly the club is being managed and run since Fergie left. It's honestly laughable that we have 1 shot on target against that ****e.
Sevilla are not a bad team. People in the press like lawrenson and Wright who say that Ferguson would decimate these teams have selective memories. Ferguson would struggle against Spanish teams and he too would be cautious. I agree that Sanchez is not playing as we expected but JM needs to work out his best position. While he is doing that uncertainty is affecting Pogba. I am not going to condemn him unless his tactics hamper our progress. What would be the point of going on all out attack at Sevilla if we end up losing. This is a 2 legged tie. United could have ended with a 3-0 Win but we could also easily have lost it. The objective is to go to the next round. If we don’t win at OT , I’ll be the first to ask for his head. But we should see all out attack and a comfortable win.
Porto were the worst side I’ve ever seen in the CL. They can’t defend and their attack was nonexistent.
He'd be better off playing Sanchez as the striker and having Rashford and Martial either side. Lingarrd or Mata as a 10. Lukaku offers nothing when you set up like that. Very poor showing and Jose is so stubborn and stuck in his ways it's unreal.
