Don't agree with Enrique or Alberto, Alberto deserves a chance to actually show us what he can do, he'll have more chances to show us what he can do next season as we'll have a lot more games to play.

Enrique is a tank, I'd like to keep him just for one more season, if the injury is still really bad then yes we should get rid, but for now I'd keep IMO. I'd also replace Agger with Toure. <ok>

I spoke to my mate about Alberto last night. He mentioned him as possibly one of the 7. I said he hadn't really been given a chance. My mate said that BR watched him in training every day and that he would have had a chance if he deserved one. I guess that's logical.

Yeh I suppose, I just think there are players before him that deserve to go.

Not counting Moses and Cissokho, here's 8:

Reina
Aspas
Suso
Assaidi
Borini
Kelly
Coates
Lucas

I've put 7 names in these envelopes. I will open them at the end of the season. If your name is in one of them- you're fired.

What are you going to do if we refuse to be fired ? Ah see you hadn't thought about that had you!!!! <laugh>

If that be the case on Alberto I am a little concerned that we signed 2 at the same time (including Aspas) who are rubbish

I know a club doesnt get them all right but 2 at the same time

On the flip side though we got Cout and Sturridge at the same time

Concerning Borini there is a big question to ask. OK so he did well for Sunderland but can he consistently score goals for us. Let's face it we really need a forward (note I did not say striker) who can come off the bench and score goals (that is assuming that he is not considered as a starter). Now, is Borini that kind of player? If not, then we would be better off looking for that kind of forward and selling Borini to Sunderland where he appears to be wanted.

I didn't put Alberto in my list purely because his style is not what we have required this season. However I can see him featuring, particularly in away matches) in the domestic cups and in the CL.

The only way to know if someone will be consistent is to be consistent with them. Chopping and changing will never give a true picture of a players ability.

I don't understand what you are trying to say.

My suggestion was to play to the lads strengths (at least those we've seen so far). He's neat and tidy on the ball, doesn't give the ball up easily either running or passing, has an eye for a pass and is considered in his play. Now that style is more European and a lot slower than the way we have played this season. I therefore don't expect him to be in our first 11 but there are games (probably away from home) where his style would be suited.

Let's face it no player next season is going to be an ever present!

Going with that view, we also need them to be willing to sit on the bench.

If we were looking to buy a forward, I would never accept us signing a player purely as a back-up. We should always be looking to improve our options, the squad will take of itself. However, if we do not have the budget to buy another forward but we feel need another body to make up the numbers / options, then why not Borini since he's already at the club? Unless, of course, we could sell him for a decent sum which then means we can buy.

I was just saying you'll never know if a player will consistently score goals unless you play them consistently.
