Do you not think it's a problem though if our other centre backs keep falling out with him? I think it's alarming.
Macca fell out with Bruce after playing well at Burnley and Bruceys big time charlies comment about others. Macca thought he'd be playing the next game but was dropped. Alex Bruce neither played the next game against Spurs or was on the bench. Davies retained his place even though he was ****, Chester went to the bench and Dawson was straight back in. So i doubt Maccas gripe is with Alex but SB's choice of not picking him.
Junior was injured - Bruce went 2 at the back against Tottenham and Chester was dropped to the bench and Macca was dropped completely - next match was against Man U Junior was deemed fit and went straight on the bench and no Macca - after the way Macca played against Burnley only 2 matches previously he deserved a place in the team if only on the bench - Junior didn't - thanks dad
I don't know what happened either way, I'm just going by comments on this thread. Whoever suggested it was down to Bruce Jnr seemed to know something though.
I think it's an easy excuse for underperforming CBs to fall back on when they don't make the team or don't get new contracts.
Has McShane been underperforming? My point is if it's causing problems with defenders then Bruce isn't managing the situation as well as he hoped he could. I wonder if Maguire is happy with being 5th/6th choice?
I should have expanded: underperforming or out of the side. Bruce and McShane are of relatively similar quality in my mind. I agree though I want Maguire in the side sooner rather than later.
