seven figure bid

Apparently we have bid for Luke Murphy from Crewe according to Adam pope !!

 

Don't know much about him, but a young CM captain, sound promising.

 

Yea this was mentioned on the transfer rumours thread, seems very hard to believe but everyone is running with the story

 

Smoking mirrors or trhe real deal we shall see

 

Talk that another club had had a bid excepted & looked like a done deal until we allegedly also submitted an acceptable bid. Time will tell, but if true, will silence all the whingers, whiners, & cup at least half empty types prevalent on another site, but creeping onto this site.

TW opens tomorrow. So we should see some action this week. Anyone coming down to the Stevenage game?

 

The rumour has been doing the rounds on the 'rumour sites' and they did predict Matt Smith joining about 2 weeks before it happened

And were competing against Wolves and Blackburn.

 

So there is a rumour we've bid a million. Will get excited if this turns into a signing

To be fair why play in league 1 when you've got 2 Champs clubs after you.

Looking at the options Blackburn may be able to pay more but I's find the Venkys a turn off. The club has been going backwards since they took over and I don't think Bowyer will last long as manager. They might have another 3 manager season again.

Yes we can't pay as much and GFH can't run a football club but they've invested in the infrastructure supposedly and McD's a better manager who looks like he's going to last more than 5 minuets in the job.

 

This seven figure sum we have bid, do we know where the decimal point is?

Lads im sure if your board had given McD. a 7 figure sum to spend on 1 player there would have been a statement made somewhere

unless they are about to accept a bid for Byram then its believable (maybe)

Doubtful. If everyone thought we had money, their asking price would only increase.

Maybe it's part of GFH's masterplan, convince everyone we're skint so they sell to us cheaper

 

The rumour doing the rounds (and unlike most rumours people seem adamant this is quite solid) is that we have just secured some substantial investment that will be announced tomorrow.
