Now this is a cracking ground, at Lens in France... http://www.stadiumguide.com/stadebollaertdelelis/
The Evening Standard article pretty much writes off our chances of having a ground there. Worries me that they'll eventually get fed up and start looking further afield.
lol. Could be a way of disguising the identity but it does seem they are redeveloping what they have now.
What annoys me most about this is, the guy who owns car giant is supposedly a Qpr fan, yet he has been hellbent on screwing us over from the very start of this OOC consultation. Has he not made enough money from his Arthur Daley show room? If I was TF I would take this clown to the cleaners and try to bend boris arm.
Ok ................ I'm not completely in the know about this but I think the story goes ............. Cargaint got given the cold shoulder by TF or alike on a previous encounter regarding the development, hence he's probably returning the complement.
I think this is the Car Giant version of the plan - not the actual definitive plan. Car Giant own some of the land, but they can no more dictate without agreement what happens to other areas of the site (say the parts owned by Railtrack) than QPR can for the Car Giant land. TF should be pushing for a stadium in the plan regardless, however I believe his business plan probably included making money on the peripheral development as opposed to just the stadium. We'll get an idea of his intentions soon enough, but I don't see why they cannot work with Car Giant on the site as a whole.
agree with Tooting on this. TF wants more than a stadium. a mate in the pub said to me on Saturday TF's dream is 'Pie in the sky' and we will be at LR for many years. I beginning to think the same.
I've been a QPR fan for decades but I wouldn't sell the club my house if I knew I could knock it down myself and build something on the site which would make me twice as much cash. Tell you what though we are with the zeitgeist, fully fledged members of the victim culture, let's blame someone else for the fact that, as usual, this talk was all mouth and no trousers.
Apparently Tony's had 1 bid rejected on this but is going back for another, the idea is that we use the planets core as under soil heating and build a **** off massive cark park over the pitch. QPR fans will go anywhere is the general thinking here I think.... please log in to view this image
I can understand where you are coming from, however I think your forgetting all the crap the bloke has put out about the club, the same club he supposedly supports. It's one thing trying to make a quick buck, but it's another when you go out of your way to defame a party (In this case the club he supports) I think you should stop trying to use big words, the words you was looking for was "Personal Greed"
Nah, I don't think dumbing myself down would help anybody. Zeitgeist doesn't mean personal greed anyway. I'm quite prepared to believe that the club's initial approach to CarGiant was cack handed and insulting. It was probably Phil Beard that handled it. Anyway, how many years ago was that? Plenty of time to get a Plan B in place.
If I owned cg I would be after every penny I could get And if could make more with a different scheme I might have a crack at that too
I sincerely hope we do have a plan b, old oak is a huge site so I personally see no reason why we can't co-exist with Car giant in the vicinity.
So i have just watched this 6 min video and not one thing mentioned about QPR or stadium. Am i missing something? Is this the official video or is from car giant?
